After having my '05 RX-1 at the local shop to have the pivot arm replaced, I finally got to take it out again twice this week. Both times the thing was rotten in the corners. Prior to taking in I had it dialed in just the way I liked it. The rear end would grip and go around the corners well. Now, it doesn't stick and slides without any traction. I have to purposely go into them a lot slower. It also seems I don't have the grip at take off too. The only thing I can think of is that the transfer rod was adjusted? Since the front of it is held up by the pivot arm, maybe they had to move something to bolt it back up again? I don't even know if the transfer rod can change how it handles, but I don't see why they would've needed to move anything else. If you have any other thoughts, please tell me. Otherwise, how do I adjust the transfer rod and what is the correct setting for it? I'm a bigger guy too, if that matters. As for the front end it isn't doing anything majorly different, although it doesn't seem to be digging in as good either (which I would think would be the opposite if the rear end isn't.) Both times I rode it last week were different conditions too. One was very cold in hard pack and the last was Fri. where the snow was softer, but not mushy or melting. Please help so I can adjust this thing today. Thanks.

trail condition play a major factor. pack to soft is huge and the sled responds greatly to these conditions and any in between. I would start there and wait till you have con ditions to draw accurate conclusion otherwise it may get worse with adjusting. odds are the shop didnt mess with sus setting unless you told them to. The way you described the rear sliding around is a strong point for a not so tight trail pack

Check the limiter straps, Max length is about one inch from the plate where the jam nut goes to the end of the threaded rod, my transfer rods are on the third line showing from the top but you might want to go to the fourth line if you're a heavier guy. Try starting there.

Thanks for the replies. As for the conditions, that's why I decided to ride it twice before making conclusions. These were very opposite days. The first was temps below 20 degrees and hard pack, with the 2nd being higher 20's-30 degrees with loose snow. Hauler, I have the monoshock on mine, so yours is different than mine. Although, maybe only in that I have one transfer rod vs. 2? As for the straps, forgive my ignorance, but where are these located? Sorry, those apparently are the one thing underneath I have not ever even touched since I bought it new.
