Ok guys I talked to Chris again and got us a better price this is his final price because he has to honor a 3 year warranty and lifetime on the mounting hardware. $84.99 and we must have an order for 50 units. At this price I am willing to buy two any other takers. To keep track of how many people are buying and how many more we need go to the next number and put your user name beside it.

I would like to suggest the us TY riders lead the way in this new safety device. I for one think it is a great idea. I have had my hands off of the handle bars more than a few times only to realize I was into a turn one-handed. Not safe at all. I then see the guy coming the other way, not giving me the signal because he was to smart to take his hands off of the bar. I think us Yamaha people show step up to the plate and lead with this concept. I hope this company is good and the lights work and last a long time. Just my 5 cents. I am going to encourage everyone in my group to get them. I will make my rides even safer than what we do now.
Does anyone have the dimensions for this unit. I thought I saw it, but now can't find it. I will be glad to call the MFG to get this information if no one knows.

When we started the thread on building these back 7 months ago we were pioneering. First step was to figure out the system and we did. Second was to build the units now we dont have too. Third step is to get it done and on the trails. I agree with you guys this is going to make snowmobiling a lot safer and we at TY can lead the way on our trips but we have to do it. When on our rides and we meet other riders and we have the safety lights set up on our sleds. They are going to ask each other when they stop what was all those lights for on all those Yami's. They will figure it out as it is not rocket science. If they know the hand signals they will pick up on this by meeting and seeing the lights in a real application. Chris said he is going to be featured on Snogoer whould be nice if we could tell him that the Yamaha guys on TY are implementing this system for their rides for their own safety and the safety of everyone they meet.

Good idea on the TY guys pushing the product to be safe. If you talk to Chris again, before I do, ask him if it would be mentioned.

Terry absolutely we should mention it here as part of the deal (pending MrSleds approval of course) Might be nice as a sticky in safety.
Another good idea is selling them thru the TY store, as Tom likes safety and it is good for the forum to be "on record" as promoting safety.
They could advertise here too following or before the group buy.
Terry also, nothing against Sled Dog as he is doing a great job, just wondering if the units for the states should be shipped to a US address instead of doing the customs paperwork.?.?
Sled Dog we should probably go back and clean out your thread here later so we can concentrate on getting the list of 50.
Only question I have is are these things very bright? Bright enough to be seen on a sunlit day?

Ok I emailed and asked him to join the site and advertise here also. If he does this then he might as well handle the group buy himself instead of going through a third party. We could all deal directly with the company that makes these that way. We also get a new vendor who advertizes here to boot. Sound cool?

Tork, good thinking.
That would be excellent, and show TY'ers care about safety.

Tork judging by the lights on the pictures taken during the daylight I think they will be more than bright enough.

How easy is it to switch from Green to Yellow? This was asked in the FAQ but the answer did not address the question. this would be an important consideration as many change position in a group during a ride.
