Just change oil every 2500 miles or once a year and you don't have to worry about it be tempermental like a 2 stroke.
My loss is going be your gain, lol

Very nice sled, just remember change the oil yearly. Or if you ride many many miles a year....every 2500 miles.
They do like to have seafoam in them during the summer also. I would recommend doing that instead of starting it several times thru the year.

Tom,
I was in pain watching you get bounced by the bumps on our way to lunch last Muni ride. And the smell... I could not wait to pass you. All I could think is that I did no miss my SRX that is in pcs right now. Sure the SRX is a great sled but the Attak is so much better. I do not miss the 2stroke at all.

Ryan,
I got the loan for the sled. 7.45% interest rate for 60 months at a payment of $140. I told my loan officer I got it for $7000 and since he likes to sled also he didnt believe me and asked me where i'm finding these deals especially on a new 4 stroke.
My uncle knows your coming. Im told him your taking the SX 700 and dropping off another.
What else do I need to worry about for maintenance?? Do these sleds eat hyfax like the SRX's? Do I still need to and how if so, grease the drive shaft bearings? This thing looks like a freaking monster. I am only 5'6 tall 170 LBS.

I just did my 500 mile check up and my hyfax were junk. I usually will run them down to nothing before I change them but with the low snow conditions, I couldn't take the chance of eating the rails. They wear faster in the Apex than the SRX or Vmax.
Track was lose with 144 down the middle and a grabbed snow on the trail every place I could.
yes it all depends on the conditions you ride in.I would recommend some ice scrathers that's anoither thing I was going to buy and didn't yet.Get some that mount on the ski's so the spray cover the whole slides because the one's that mount on the rails only sprays 3/4 of the rails.

What size wheels are on the MTN APEX
Do I need to pick up a set of 5.38 wheels from Rich?
Can run the track loose with extroverts
Hartman INC sells a set that mounts on the skis but only works with Simon Skis
