Alatalo,

You need that seat to hold your muffler in place !!
How does it feel compared to stock?

Well, if I would use no seat, I would also make a silencer bracket that attaches to the tunnel instead of the seat frame. This is for sure possible to arrange without too much hassle.

Compared to stock, this seat feels higher, stiffer and much lighter (because it is...). Like I said before, I can not really comment on seat comfort or seat ergonomics because I never ever sit down during riding. Basically, my only riding impression is that it feels like the stock seat. If anything, it could be one or two inches lower, as my foot can sometimes touch it when jumping from side to side (too much Rasmussen style sidehilling...). If I keep it for one more season, I will for sure install Air Frame running boards and I have also started to process some ideas regarding a slightly lower version of this seat...

Pretty Basic compared to most on here. A pic from last weekend at switchback, Caledonia mountain NB Canada

The hood with the screen has an 80% open area. Which is the supposed legal version of BRtech's racing hood. Also behind it is a new set of Sled sartts HID's. Just incase the trail cops say she isn't bright enough ;)!

The upper and lowers are 41.5" cromoly a-arms with the 2009 geometry, and with much beefier balljoints, powder coated white. Not much is stock on her right now. making a couple little changes here and there before the snow while doing the fall checkup...

Here is what mine looks like.... for now. Nothing special about it.
