With all of this and that information about the new motor in the Phazer, I really do not (I hope you don't either) want to base any performance changes/additions/deletions on someones "guess" or "seat of pants" opinions. Example: If an aftermarket exhaust manufacturer claims "5 additional HP", great. Better back it up with dyno information. Which should include both the "stock" dyno pull and the "altered" dyno pull.
Please post in this thread any and all dyno information that you may have on the 500cc 4-stroke twin cylinder motor only.

Welcome. Might want to tone it down a little with the personal demands of dyno sheets and your opinion of aftermarket products. Some times you have to read, instead of looking at a photo shopped Dyno sheets HAHA. This is a small group compaired to your every tom dick and harry's ski-doo great build off DOO-Talk web site. Guys who post on hear are real people with great aftermarket stuff.

dont cut down ddo-talk it is also a great site, and guess what, it started small like this site also, so give this site a few years and it will be just as big with the same problems. i love both sites, anytime you can get free help or info on different mods its a great site. you just have to look out for the guys selling the items and their biased opinions.

Rotax454, No need to worry. What you stated is very much so important to people who would like to put a little extra into their ride to make something different from just the everyday sled !!! As well as look good they (including myself) would like to physically know that what they are putting on their sled and spending money on is actually adding somesort of performance upgrade !!! Dyno's do not lie and a dyno chart concluding that the parts put on are actually adding performance can be quite persuasive !!! (might not be spelt right)

I'm with Rotax454! I bought my clutch kit from Ulmer because they backed up their product with dyno results(which look awesome for the price). Why would a company think that anyone would spend $500, $600, or $700 dollars on an exhaust, for example, based on "seat of the pants" numbers? If Ulmer can provide dyno results on something as cheap as a $120 clutch kit, I would surely expect other manufacturers could provide dyno results for products costing 4 times as much. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't believe that it is that cost prohibitive for these manufacturers to get some time on a dyno? I'm not trying to offend anyone here, but I'm sure I'm going to... but if these products really do what they claim, I'd be willing to bet the manufacturers would have the dyno results POSTED EVERYWHERE!

As you continue your research on Phazers I think you'll find that once the Nytro was released the aftermarket has been putting the focus there and not on the Phazer.
That being said, I really like this statement about one supplier's Phazer exhaust: "You will get performance gains of 5 seat of the pants hp and 7lbs weight savings."
Just have to admire the honesty.

HAHA I think the after market companies have Dyno sheets on most stuff how ever like steve said once the nytro come out the phazer is left behind and they are focused on making that machine faster, that said if your looking for a big HP gain out of a phazer buy a turbo, then once you do that then you should have just bought a Nytro.
For Yamaha to crank out 80hp out of 2 250f engines is amazing. A stout 250f will make a soild 38-43 hp. so you do the math and relize by adding a pipe and power comander your really only going to gain a couple of hp witch I have a very hard time feeling 3 hp on a phazer how ever lap times show different.
Ulmers Kit is one of the best out there I seen great gains from it. Dont care about the HP just how it feels when I am riding it.

I believe your level of tone is different from mine. As for toning it down, not on your life. If you felt I was a little strong with the wording, try NOT reading in between the lines. I was direct and to the point.
Professionalism in the Product, I could not agree more. My original post in fact asked just that. The manufacturer should be Professional. Part of being professional is being accountable. That accountability includes backing up the performance levels and specifications outlined by the manufacturer and it's supplier network.

Well said Rotax454, I have been member for a few years now and have only seen a few manufacturers post or even have available dyno sheets. Ulmer, Excell, MCX and MPI. I have delt with Ulmer a few times and all products have performed as advertised. I too wish all performance parts manufacturers would show dyno sheets for their products. Unfortunately I believe that most exhaust mods or intake mods have minimal gains and therefore a dyno sheet would probably decrease sales so they make seat of the pants claims. If you look at dyno sheets from Excell you will see that the horsepower curve sometimes cross the stock curve showing that gains are only in certain areas. I salute them on thier honesty.
