new riding a Phazer this year , just wondering how the FX works in powder , 121 inch track is the small side these days .Has anyone gone with longer track with skid frame extended? Thinking the 121 might be ok considering it’s fairly lite weight . Any information or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

they do not float well off trail and the stock 1" track sucks in powder as they are a 14" wide track but they are much better with the availible 1-1/2" track.

i was going to run extensions on the 09 phazer rtx i sold to my brother until i found the broken skid rail on it from a po. i scored a set of mtx rails off of evil bay for less than the extensions where worth including shipping. as i needed a track, i got the 144"x 14"x 1-1/2" track from yamaha and was pretty happy with the results.

I have no experience with the 121 phazer but have a 136 that was a 121 extended skid and have two 144 sleds. They will eat a lot of snow before tapping out. I have the 1.5 track in the 136 and it is better than the 144’s with the stock track. The turbo one is a lot of fun as the little extra power helps.

I'd probably try the MTX skid relocate on a short track, there are a few different 128x13.5/14" tracks available off arctic cat machines (including a awesome looking 128x14 1.7" snocross track). It does 2 things, WAY better attack angle to avoid trenching and a slightly longer footprint. The MTX rails will also bolt right on reusing all your other skidframe parts then you can run a 144" which would require stretching the tunnel/bumper. "skinny" 144" tracks are hard to come by and I haven't seen a 144" Freeride available for awhile (track I have on mine), the MTX Maverick track sucks, and Arctic Cat had a Skinny 144" ripsaw on some 2up sleds.
