Powder Jack on MTX 162

Need suggestions on mounting the base plate of the powder jack on a nitro mtx 162.

Does any one think velcro with adheasive back would hold on the tunnel?

i dont think that would be a good option. i would think maybe a bolt through the bottom with some sort of rubber washer and then a pin through the bolt

I agree that would be the best solution.

Well...... you could try the 3M Dual Lock Material. If you used the BLACK that is like 300 grit, it has a HUGE hold factor. I have a waterski that the bindings are attached to the ski with this dual lock, and it is amazingly strong stuff!

for the base plate , i used just a bolt , added a little foam on the bottom of base plate to stop rattle , also 3 good rubber o-rings

Duchie, your solution is safest, but would like to avoid anything that would cause more snow collection in tunnel. As have read somewhere our sleds collect and carry about 50 pounds of snow. You might want to try the velcro to stop raddle as it should not collect moisture. If the velcro fails will use the bolt system with velcro as cushion.

keep a eye on it , if your velcro fails you might loose that base plate and not even know it , find that in the snow will be a pain

I waterski slalom tournaments around the North West. My slalom ski has the entire binding plate held on with DUAL LOCK. It is crazt stuff. I actually have used it in many other spots since descovering it last year. I have a vintage snowmobile sign hanging in my garage with it as the connection point.

DEFINATELY NOT THE VELCRO YOU HAD ON YOUR SHOES BEFORE YOU COULD TIE THEM!!!!

pull the taillamp front trim off drill a hole for the pin and rubber washers put a small piece of camper tape on the tunnel and reasemble the lamp now the plate fits perfectly at an angle of the lamp with the pin can send u a pic if u want

ok here you guys go just returned from a week in the grand mesa,CO jack and mounts worked great

ok sorry mine is a hi lift snowmobile jack but they seem similar using a hole above the foot well and removed a tunnel rivet just ahead of the bumper for the stud
