so what problems are you having with your sled? and it looks really good im going fro the alpine kit at the end of the season .where were the pics taken?

Joker2, what are the issues? Engine, turbo, clutching or chassis. Can't help if we don't know. looks as though as if you have the clutch side plastic off. Clutching? Mike Knapp#17

turbo

the problem's i am having are the drivers rounding off at about 4 rides with the turbo.

the steering is very tight to turn, i have disconnected the spindles and narrowed the problem down to the shaft that is parallell with the sled but have not had time to look any further yet.

my track has hit the gaurd or bracket behind the exhaust before the turbo install and has ripped off paddles as well as bent the gaurd. one of the yamaha reps has pictures of it and is getting to the bottom of it.

my fault when i installed the turbo i rerouted the fuel overflow line down by the brake, and when the fuel tank is full it leaks a fair amount of fuel out and my brake caught the right side of my sled on fire.( luckily i had a fire extinguisher in back pack)

Take the saw after the bracket and shorten it up. The mountain sleds appear to be experiencing this in vast numbers. As for the drivers rounding off, it sounds like a ratching problem. Tighten the track TIGHT! See if that helps the problem. I can't imagne its just wear thats rounding off drive sprockets. Glad you didn't burn up! I only insure my sled with liability due to the high cost of full coverage. Will take note not to run vent line out on brake side! Would hate to loose it to fire. Good Luck! Keep us posted. So where is your vent line located now?

I had the same issue with my vent line and fire, it was from the manifold, not the brake. Not a fun feeling to have a sled start on fire. Anyone know on how to prevent leakage from the vent lines? I have since re-routed the vent lines and tried to loop them and keep them fairly high.

vent line problem

i am going to install a one way check valve that my rev had on it located on the vent line. it still allows air to go into the tank but didn't let fuel out until higher pressure in it (if it's overfilled)
as well i am going to make the line exit the belly pan to prevent this.

I didn't do the check valve, but I did run mine right out the right side bottom. When it was on the turbo side, when the bolts came loose the one time, the line started melting, so that side is no better than the brake side, have to run it right out so the fuel doesn't splash all over then catch on fire.

sounds like powderlite turbos are pretty crappy if they're always catching on fire, you would not have this problem if you would have made the right choice and went with a quality kit like mc-xpress.

i would have if i wanted lag time!lol
