Was wondering if anyone out there has put one of these set ups on there super charged sleds. I am running 7psi boost and thinking of doing this. Any help would be great from users who have knowledge of this. Thanks

I had a conversation with Allan Uhlmer yesterday I am also very interested . It may be a great way to bring in some timing on lower boost and also help cure some of the fuel controller issues. Lowered compression with a shim it would be nice to gain about 6-8 degress of timing at 5-7 thousand rpm.

I talked to the PC maker dynojet or whatever. Not sure if Allen has found a way around it or not but they said that the timing box cannot reference boost meaning it can only work off RPM and TPS from what I understood and will not work over 10 psi.
So it cannot pull timing for a specific boost # seen it can only pull timing for RPM or TPS.

I was gonna post this when I saw the thread...let me fix you up Jamie!!
PC timing module is not boost sensitive when used with a GM 3 bar map sensor. Only the fuel can be setup that way.
Timing can only be mapped based on RPM and TPS, like Jamie has said.
The PC timing module can only trim timing values +/-10 degrees. Which might be plenty. But not good for a hard load at lower rpm!!
TIC1000 is the way to go!!

The rapid bike fuel controler i run in my sled is using a 3 bar gm map sensor and can pull timing back acording to boost reference

Summitking, which controller are you using RapidBike 2 or 3? How long have you been running this controller? Have you lowered compression also or are you just pulling timing for deto? Have you had any issues with the snow/high humidity under the hood?

You can change timing based off of boost in the Hub Configuration setup. You can still only change timing a max of 10 degrees +/- though. Currently Dynojet only allows 50% more fuel to be added using the map sensor in the multi function hub. This limits you to the 9-10 lbs boost range.

The Rapid Bike Module Mitch is using is the RB3. The RB module is completely sealed inside so it's impervious to moisture and I've never seen a heat problem. It can be used with a 2bar or 3 bar MAP sensor depending on your requirement. It will add up to 100% duty cycle on fuel and the timing can be advanced or retarded at any point. The fuel pump feature helps eliminate poping under hard acceleration. If you have any other questions let me know.

Yes Darryn is correct i am using rapid bike 3 only problem i had was moisture getting on the main conector and giving me a few issues but the problem is solved now i sealed it up properly
If you could trim the controler with throttle position and run the map sensor it would be even better because you do get a ocansional lean spike while cruising down the trail when its not making boost

So why are you not using a PC and timing module instead?

Rapid Bike controllers are both fuel management systems AND timing controllers. The stage 3 allows for 2 sets of fully customized maps that are tunable with a PC if you buy there software. Mitch at Synergy offers this setup with the maps pre-loaded.

by PC I mean Power Commander.

The answer to your question is simple. Rapid Bike gives you more tunability and flexability. The problem he's experiencing with poping is simply a map adjustment. Power Commander with timing and boost capability is way more money and does less.

Darryn, sounds like a great product!
But what summitking says is that the controller is not hooked up to the TPS is he not?
Do you have a link that we can read about the functions of the RapidBike Controller?
