Has anyone tried the SLP ski's and if so, how does it compare with the precision or the Doo ski's? What are the positives and negatives? I do mostly trail riding therefore deep powder is not an issue with me. Actually any snow would be a blessing.

I just put on the Precisions and I love them. I have them dialed in at 90%. When I have them in at 100% I will be doing backflips. 90% of my riding is trail, 10% off trail. I hope this helps.

Which SLPs?

I have ridden the SLTs on my old sled (VMAX 700) and they were great there, absolutely no darting with the keel blade.

But, I have a gut feel that they are not enough ski for the Warrior with the shorter carbide, and going with the longer carbide means eliminating the keel blade, and thus issues with darting all over again.

I'm trying to decide between the Simmons Flexi Skis and the Simmons Powder Pros, both with Bergstrom triple carbides.

So, interested if anybody has any input.

My skis are also setup with the Berstroms 24" Triple Carbides. My personal opinion is you can make any ski dart. That has everything to do with ski pressure. You can shim the ski and eliminate darting.

Have the Simmons Flexi-Skis and like them because I feel I can ride more aggressive than with the stock ski. I have 4" carbides on the outside, and 6" carbides on the inside. The skis only dart on ice (i.e. no snow on the lake). I would buy these skis again. No experience with the SLP's.

I had Simmons but did not like how they corner on hard pack trails. I decided to try the Bergstroms Tri Carbide (3 rows of 8") with shims and ski savers. AWSOME!!! Turns on a dime. No darting. Paid $150. Well worth the money!

I have the SLP Powder Pro's on my Warrior with 6 inch carbides. I never rode it with the stock ski's, so listening to everyone whine about push is getting old!! These ski's are just awsome in everything!! In powder the front end floats right up on top. On the trail they NEVER lose grip. I also swapped with my cousin to try the C&A advantage trail ski with 8" carbides. I was suprised! They handled just as well on the trail with even a little bit easier steering, but off trail they were not quite as good. But hey, I got them for him for only 200 dollars, and my PP's were way over 300!! So in all reality, C&A's would be just fine! :D

fstblkwarrior,
Thanks forthe info as I was leaning towards the SLP's as I had very good luck with their Tri-keels on my old ZR. Is your sled studded? I'm not studded so I would think that 6" of carbide should be enough.

After having the Warrior set up properly, the darting experienced with the stock skis is 95% gone, and front end push is greatly reduced.
But, had already ordered the Powder Pros with the new Bergstrom skegs, so those are going on when they arrive.
