Seems to me you are just ansering a valid question. Now I wish we could find out the price in Canada as it is not on the Yamaha Canada site as of yet.

What gives here. Maybe they are going to give us northerners such a discount they won't even publish the price. Not lol

Just checked the site again the new prices are there. I don't think Yamaha is serious about selling sleds here this year. $11,999.00 for the 05 Vector ER. Considering the price quotes above with exchange that would be about 9400.00 that is too big a difference. Maybe it would be worth it to shop somewhere else like the States.

Why are you so surprised the Vector is inline with the pricing of last years Viper and the RX1 has gone up $200. The exchange is a problem as I wonder what factor Yamaha is working with. The real screwy thing is yesterday the Canadian site showed a $500 Spring deal plus a $200 welcome back bonus, far less thasn the U.S. but at least something. Today they show all up to dealer. What's up with that :?: :?: :?:

Why am I so surprised? Well like the exchange rate has improved by over 25% since last year. So we are getting taken to the cleaners. Thats why. RS Vector ER 7199.00 US should be around 1.32 exchange = 9500.00 Can. If that is not a surprise to you then I hope you enjoy the 2500.00 Yamaha rip saw off. lol PS the dealer here says he can let them go at 11599.00 can. Big frigging deal only two grande rip off

I guess what I am really saying is I will be driving the 02 for a while longer than I expected. I will wait until next year or the year after and get one used that is in good condition. Can't aford to lose 6000.00 every 3 years on a new sled and we have 2 sleds that would have to be traded. No way man.

The Vector e/r is $1000 more than list shole be and the RX1 e/r is $700 more than it should be based upon todays exchange rate plus they are very vague on the Yamaha Bucks. Seems all the others give Canadians a break but not Yamaha.

Jim

The other question I have is $11,999 a "medium priced sled" according to Yamaha. If they are using the Viper as a comparison it was always overpriced on list .

The U.S. gets a clean $800 in yankee bucks and we get the following run around:

I missed that but their program is still less than half of what they give in the U.S. plus the over inflated list prices. Hope this nonsense increases the value of my 03.

U.S. MSRP for the Vetor ER is $8299, the dealership that I work at is offering it at $7199 only for spring checked sleds. I'm not sure what the exchange rate is but I saw some post $1.32 so that would make it $10,954.68 but that still not the $11,999 you found it at. The $7199 is also with the dealer retaining the acc. money (no $800 in accessory money).

I think he was using the MSRP not the discounted price he quoted. Al those quoted prices are well below MSRP in the US. Most of the RX's are in the mid 9's. Also the dealer is not giving the accessory money. Those are out the door spring prices and are very reasonable. I know my dealer in won't be selling that low.

The reason I used his net price was for my Canadian dealer to get to this price he would have to discount 20% off list and that ain't going to happen.
