What are the best ones for longevity?

My stock plastic bushings were replaced with the Duralon after last season and only lasted under 1000 miles, so they are junk.
My 17 has around 8K on it, and I am putting the stock ones that I kept back in.

pic shows the stock bushing on left ready to go back in, and it is the only one that had any wear!

What secondary spring do you have & degree of wrap ?

I just picked up some Gforce rollers. They have a brass bushing and are wider than stock.

Stock secondary with machined coil pocket. 6-1 usually but did change to 6-2 this year because I went from the 8JP to the XS825.

I guess that’s what I shall have to do, buy roller and all instead of just buying the replacement bushings.
Cannot buy just the stock plastic bushings from Yamaha I was told, but if you buy entire roller you can get that same plastic bushing that I had pretty good longevity with. I say plastic but I’m sure it’s not just A plastic.

Thanks for that suggestion on Gforce rollers. I may try that also. Do they come with thinner side spacers?
He makes some good stuff. My buddy had his Yamacharger on an Apex LTX along with his clutch kit. It worked really well.

I ordered a set of G force 15 for new sled. (Pricey) ,, I also have a new set of FETT brothers that I like the looks of. Should be set for 10k.!! Thunder makes a decent set. I ran those also.

I bought set of g force rollers last summer but never installed them since I went to the nytro clutch. When it comes time to freshen up my clutch I am going to install them. I like the wider roller set up.

;)! I agree. That’s one thing Cat clutching has that is great. Super wide rollers.

My stock roller bushings lasted well. Always had one that was a bit loose from the get go, so I kept a good eye on it and finally thought that I would put better bushings in. That didn’t work.. But that stock one that had always been a bit loose was defective. By looking at the inside center of that plastic bushing you can see a small missing spot in the very center. Back together for our last county ride of this season I think, maybe only 1 more after that. Ha Ha..

Old bushings installed and rollers are feeling and looking good and ready for some prolonged HI speed runs up there.
Shall decide on new ones for next season!
On another note, checked my chain tension for the 3rd time this season with new chain and 22T. Found 3 turns out again. You cannot run a tight chain on these unless you check your tension daily is my bet.

I might get my buddy who’s a machinist who made my bronze bushing top gear , to machine up a bronze oil lite bushing to press in both sides with a wider surface area where the washers go against. Then come up with thinner washers . That way there more surface area on the pin to wear . He has the material I will try to test it this year .
