Hey all I have a 2003 RX-1 MTN lim edition (silver)

my problem is that my brother has a 2004 summit renegade mxz 800 nd his sled is faster than mine :(

can anyone help me with some inexpensive mods or bolt ons i can do to increase my sled power to be closer to him

sry if this is posted in wrong spot....

thx for your help

First off, Welcome to the site.... you'll love it!

Are you looking for floatation improvements and to reduce trenching? Or are you looking for HP gains? Since you both have Mtn sleds, I'm assuming some suspension setup changes would really assist with the former? Most mountain riders here have either swaped out suspensions altogether (Cat seems to be a inexpensive swap that's popular) or changed the attack angle of the stock skid altogether.

I'm no expert, but if you give the guys a better idea of what you want to accomplish, there are a ton of experienced flatland and mountain tuners here who can help. The search function is also a great way to read up on past topics that would help you, depending on what you want to do.

As for where to post, you could have used the RX/RS mountain forum. Also probably the best place to search for performance tips, tricks and suspension setup ideas. Good Luck. WB. ;)!

I guess im lookiing for HP gain

also im running a 151 track with 2" camo track
and his is 121 with 1" track

I am also having this problem:

I had white knuckle exhaust on it and it sounded great and all but it sputtered quite a bit and just didnt have the power I thought. The guy I bought it from said he had those pipes on for 2 seasons. I replaced the WK pipes with the stock pipes and now no problems, so my guess was it wasnt jetted properly to the WK pipes. i believe they were qc-1 as well. Now after riding for a day with no problems, it is running a bit ruff and I cant get over 60km/h

So now I think the plugs are fouled up.

anyone else have any other suggestions??

im just looking for a sled that has good power and quick. This is my first yammy and im happy with it just a few minor adjustments.

let me know what you all think...

any other info needed let me know...thx

pic of sled coming soon!!!

anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?.

Is it plugs or something else...

a few people said that the 4 strokes are different than the 2 strokes...meaning the plugs dont get messed up that offen.

tell me what you think :)

thx

You should really try posting this in RX1 mountain forumn. Look for posts by user Kachess. He has a REALLY good setup that is relatively cheap to do. See his videos for proof. Good luck ;)!
