IT is very hard to engauge reverse on 2013 nitro xtx 1.75 even moving it forward more , I have lubed all the mechinism and loosened the chain a WEE bit but its very hard to engage when running , if motor is not running it goes in much better, and help would be welcome , and save a trip back to the dealer..tks. :sled1:

have you tried to adjust linkage that may fix your problem.

Yup, tolerances are very tight, both linkage adjustments need to be bang on.

Also, check to see if the linkages are secure to the chaincase...I've heard of issues that they can loosen over time.

Could check belt adjustment too, maybe it the primary is catching too much belt, that little bit of pressure could cause it to be a hard engagement

Sounds like your belt tension is little bit on the high side, thus putting forward drive torque on your chaincase gears even when you are standing still. You can reduce your belt tension by installing the next thinner washer behind the three screws on the back side of your secondary clutch. Or, just pull the brake lever when trying to engage reverse.

My Nytro was a little touchy about getting into reverse but livable. I had the chaincase apart to change the track and found the bolt in the end of the driveshaft that holds the spring loaded cup in place was loose. It shifts a lot better now.
