anyone try running across any puddles in their Nytro yet?? I've done some shallow stretches on washed out trails and must say I would be nervous if I hit any open water, the front end seems to dive??

Most I have touched is a river about 25' wide. I found the opposite. My front stayed up nice but the back dropped a lot. I do have the big old skinz float plate installed.

I hate skipping water. I do it out of necisity from time to time but not out of glee. In past years when everyone else was doing it for fun, thats when I would have a cigarette break. I quit smoking so I don't know what I'll do this year.

Yeah I am not a fan of running on water either... seems to me that's what boats are for. LOL!! I just don't have the nerve to really give it a go. I have however had to run some small swamps/washouts (about 20-30 ft) and it seems to handle it okay, mind you I took a good run at it. I found the same thing, that my machine rode up nice and high on the front, but the tail was down a fair amount.

i only skip if there is no other way to get across :o|

for fun though this is our new water skipping toy! pick it up in april

On my VERY limited water crossings, there is no doubt that the belt will get wet unless you seal up the sled. It easily picks up water so any prolonged PWC usage will result in a wet slipping belt.

Nice boat. My dad has a baja islander 212 with a 5.7L with through hull exhaust. God I love that boat.
