pulling out the skid

tip:

use a thin sheet of flexible plastic or even a piece of cardboard..AFTER SLIDING THE FRONT IN WRAP THE MATERIAL UNDER THE SKID AND AROUND THE AXLE.....no catching wheels on cogs

x2 on the ratchet strap. Getting it out is the easy part- back in, not so much. I compress the rear arm down pretty far with the ratchet strap before reinstalling- works great, plus makes lining up those back holes a lot easier.

That's an interesting tip! I'll have to remember to try that one.

You need that part, it will stabilize the muffler. How did you manage to loose it? You must have drilled out the rivets to get it off the muffler housing. When you put it back together rivet it in place before you put it together.

Yea,Thats exactly what happen. I did this at Winters end and didn't put back together until just now. I am glad I asked you guys before I put it all back together again.

Do you guys know off hand which size those rivets would be? Because if my gun isn't the right size Ill just use nuts, bolts and some loctite

Gys the bolt sitting closest to the footwell is just spinning in place,Its not even getting any easier when I turn it. Can someone explain to me wht I am doing wrong please and ASAP thanks guys

I see what you have to do now,Hold on to the nut on the other side. But that bolt is turning very hard and I am by my self,Anyone have pointers on how to get it off by your self?

do this

I know it turns some stomachs but I loosen one...then if the other turns and doesnt loosen it spinning the shaft...so Id go to the other side and retighten it..then loosen the other side and usually the retightened side when reloosening comes right out since the locktite grip was originally broken..

I don't understand what you mean? Instead of taking the bolt out from outside you take the bolt out from inside the tunnel?

you go back to the original bolt you just loosened and retighten it..then go to side which was never loosened and break it free...its kinda a back in forth tighten and loosen to break the threadlocker bond..
