I haven't talked to a dealer yet, but does anyone know if you can buy a switchblade key for an '06 GT? I'd prefer the whole assembly since my Apex key was stolen when they took my ZR, and I want to change the ignition in case they plan on coming back.
My Apex was at a buddies heated shop to change the bars, but my key was on the banister in my garage where the ZR was taken from.
If I can't buy one, then I may watch for a wrecked sled and see if I can buy the whole setup.
Thanks,
Trent
Oh, the reason I ask is I thought I read it somewhere a year ago or so that you couldn't buy one...

The parts catalog shows a "main switch assy" part #8ES-82510-00-00, which shows to come with TWO keys, including one switchblade key.

I beleive the switchable key idea was scrapped. Issues with it hanging up and holding the starter motor on.............

Thanks guys.
Yeah Mighty, I think I read that here before...not sure how possible it is, but I did read someone had that issue.
I'm just waiting for the dealer to call back...they're calling Yammy to confirm.

Just heard back...Yammy told dealer that he was 90% sure it no longer comes with a switchblade, even though the pic shows one.
There's a new part number available, and the switch with 2-keys now cost $42.64 instead of $76.00, so seems like they were charging $40+ for that one key!
Guess I'll keep an eye out for a wrecked on...thanks!
