Did Vipers have these shocks last year? If yes, are they on the stiff side? Got 3 weeks on final "Winder" decisions. Dealer & booklet says these are rough trail to race shocks. I like adjustability, but don't like to be overwhelmed either. 3 clicks might be nice & simple...

They have a ton of praise for them on HCS. One guy even said his 2016 Cat with qs3's rides nicer than the 2015 doo he replaced it with.

From what I understand the ProCross chassis responded very well to a very good coil-over-shock better than air shocks. If you put a quality coilover shock in replace of the air shock even though the air shock is a very good shock,on this chassis they say that the coilover shocks are a much better choice than the air shocks. For some reason the chassis likes them better

I have a 16 LTX l with qs3 shocks and they work good but the qs3r on the sidewinder have adjustable rebound and two stage compression from what i read on Fox site.

3 stage compression actually. QS3 = Quick Switch - 3 positions for compression dampening.

I didn't mean the adjuster! I meant the stroke has two stages of damping, so gets stiffer through the stroke on each setting!

they are a great shock. i dont find them too stiff on 1or 2. 3 is definatly stiff (like its supposed to be)

get them and if you don't like them switch them or revalve them i'm sure you wouldn't have any problems selling them

These shocks are so simple,i have had Zbroz on all 4 corners for 2 grand and they worked really well to,but just to many clicks, these shocks with 30 clicks of compression and 20 rebound are foolish, they are to close to really notice any thing until you reach max or min,i like the 3 clicks, soft, med, and max, easy to see and feel, all the same on all 4 shocks, plus rebound, once set that seems to stay put generally, but the compression can and will change according on terrain and conditions. I had this skid on my 13 cat procross turbo, and I had it with the relaxed LXR cruiser, coilovers front none adjustable and they were good, but out back to soft so I just had my dealer stiffen up my valving for pennies, and was ok,not a mogul masher but smooth trail sled it was suppose to be.

They are 2 stage valving. Here is one I had apart. Keep in mind the defect was hopefully a fluke and even with that in mind they worked so well when right well worth it. I dont know how they are going to be valved this year but if last year was any indication there will be alot of very happy owners this year.

<<<<<<<<<on my sled ...awesome ...but in my opinion it was the valving that is spot on...and no offense...but Yam frequently delivers poor valving and spring rates...if they delivered cats valving and spring rates...you'd love it

So far all respective models of Yamaha and Cat in Procross chassis have been valved exactly the same.

With a $15,000 price tag on these hot rods they all should come with the QS3 shocks with the coating or the best shocks out there. Trying to decide on which sled to order!

So what is the big difference between qs3 on le and the 1.5 zero rc on se can't seem to find pic of zero rc on fox website. I do like the color and price of the se better but have heard good things about qs3 s and nothing about se Shocks are they new this year ???
