Here is a rear from a 2016 Viper I did. Don't get me wrong QS3 works well but most are adjusting them to trail conditions. Ex: 1 and 2 work great for the smooth or under 6in trail chatter but when bigger than that they are not enough. 3 works fine for the big stuff but will shudder you to death on the little stuff. So you must adjust to take advantage of the shocks. With the DSC Lo speed covers the handling, small stuff and slower going. Hi speed covers the big hits and landings. It does both. Yes it does take time to dial them in and they are very touchy but once done you wont have to be adjusting. Can be Plush and take the big high speed hits. These fit all QS3 shocks. Viper or Sidewinder $110 each and $30 cost of refresh.

Thanks for that! It's on my list of mods when I get time, along with changing out the ifp if I ever figure out where to get them. Have a leveling kit for my tundra sitting here for awhile now to.

Last few QS3's I have done have the aluminum IFP so must have been just early ones and all the Floats that have the plastic IFP. Cat has the aluminum ones. Nice truck. Love mine. Just keeping it stock though. 180000 on it now. Radiator,Brakes 3 times(EBC Green are the best) and one wheel bearing. Sucks gas but hauls the trailer at 80-90 no problem!

OK! Check the ifp when they're apart and go from there. Yup! Like the Tundra alot, just doing a bilstein 5100 level with toytec shackles, nothing serious. Its a 16 and only have 30000km

Am I seeing it correctly, that adjuster takes the place of the lever with 1,2,3 on it ? and then are you adjusting rebounding/compression with it . OR does it allow for just adjusting compression but gives you the ability to make it softer at slower speeds then stiffen up automatically when hit quicker ? My apologies for my lack of understanding.

Yes takes place of the stock adjuster. Stock adjuster only adjusts low speed compression. This allows low speed and high speed adjustment separately. So yes you can adjust low speed soft and highspeed stiff.

Might be a dumb question, but.
Do you know if a stock 14 rtx shock can be modded with this end cap /rez and the dsc hi/low valve?
If it could, do you think it is a worthwhile investment?

It could but would not be worth it. And that's assuming the cap fits. By eye I think it would. Any of the resevoir shocks such as on Yamaha Viper LE's or Cat RR's Fox has can have the Hi/lo added they are out there used cheap but then you have a 5/8 shaft and rebound adjustment also.
