- 2015 Apex SE
Bit the bullet today and traded 2007 Apex GT for new 2105 Apex SE. I HATED parting with my Ohlins suspension, and have doubts about the Fox Float shocks, but the time for power steering had come.
I heard the new Apex's have an access cover underneath allowing for easy access to the oil filter. That seems like a big time saver, but I've seen nothing mentioning it in the Apex forum which I thought odd. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Also, I'd be curious to hear what others think of the newer SE models and specifically how they set up suspension compared to the older Apex. My 07 had the 13mm sway bar, A-Arms near level, limiter strap on I think the second set of holes, with weight transfer in the skid frame set near minimum. This gave very flat cornering. Are the new sleds set up in the same fashion or does all that go out the window with these air shocks?
