Hi everyone, I just joined the site last night. I just bought and 06 Apex with almost no miles on it. My last two sled were a XCR 800 and a Mach Z. I have never ridden one. Do you think I will be happy with the power? What is everyone running for a clutch setup?
Thank you for your input

- Its a secret
Yes
If the rear shock is stock, I'd suggest sending it to Pioneer for revalve, thats about the only complaint you may have. My riding buddy has a Mach and IMO the Yamaha is head and shoulders better.

- 18 sidewinder; 06 Apex RTX
Apexer, I'm in upstate NY, and I replaced my 2001 Mach z and Mxz with two RX1's...both better than the Mach. I also had modded 98 (180hp) mach. I picked up a like new 06 RTX last Feb, and still ride with the guys who have my old Mach...the RTX destroys the Mach..it is the best sled I've ever ridden, and I ride a lot of different sleds...it is a blast..the mono works good, but I got the shock revalve...also, don't worry about the knocking going slow, it's just the transfer rod..it goes away once you crank some. I've got the floats in the front and don't feel I need the bigger bars (the RX's definetaly needed them).
The apex's are really fantastic all around sleds...I've got a grass drag strip and I turn 95 on the speedo in 500 feet, (which I know is not accurate), but way faster than my old Machz...smokes em every time.
