radianguy said:OK I removed the bolt and washer in the tip! I don't know why I had it in the tip?? Brain fart!! Anyway, I took it out and tested on a short run, feels alot better.
One more question for anyone who wants to answer, I have 5 washers in the shoulder, do you guys run the lock washer too or just the 5 0.5g washers?
The bottom end still isn't as strong as it was stock. Will get a chance to better test tomorrow.
Now my set up is bolt and 5 washers in shoulder and bolt and 2 washers in center.
I run the 1 lock washer and 4 regular washers in the shoulder for 5 total. Your current set up should be better than stock for acceleration, but you may be slower on top end. Where did you get your DnF's ?

Thanks for the reply Maniac!
I got them from a local dealer, Rugged Edge! Great guy to deal with. I try to support him as much as I can, his service is second to none! He was with us today for a ride and he knew of the problem I was having, my rpm's were falling flat at 8400-8500 so I knew I had to remove weight from the tip, and when we got back he phoned the guys at Heel Clicker to see if he could find out what I could change.
About the 4 in the shoulder with the lock washer, do you find it pulls harder than stock clutching down low?

I run 5 in the shoulder and 1 in the centre...RPM are right around 9000 depending on snow conditions...have seen 100+ mph on speedo on groomed trail and I'm a big guy 290lbs with gear.

Thanks for the reply. Did you change the setting on your secondary spring?

Secondary spring is stock...for me RPM made a big difference, started the season (if you can call it that LOL) with 2 washers in the center and was only getting 8700 and had a hard time breaking 95 MPH on groomed trail. Only other difference was a bigger set of outer wheels...maybe that helped. I also have plugs and K&N's

Are you supposed to use the metal washers instead of the plastic or in addition? Will the addition of the metal washer change RPM's? I am running perfect now.
You're supposed to use the washers that come with the weights, pretty sure it states so in the instructions. Had mine apart the other day, and two of my weights were sticking bad, good thing I checked it over and cleaned things up. Now it's time to put a stompin on some buddies![]()
I changed the fiber ones out to the metal ones supplied with the DnF's. Is it me or did my loud clutch just get louder with the change? The fiber washers were in good shape. Measured the width with a caliper and they were extermely close in width to the DnF's

Ok so i played with the nytro today and the DnF kit.
--4 washers,lock washer on shoulder
--2 washers on centre
--secondary at 2 inside 3 outside
Pulls on the bottom like crazy and am seeing 150km on hard packed river. But i can't seem to get over 8800 rpm.Is this normal rpm or should i see 9000 all the time.Im also runin a 1.5" intense track and thought maybe i need to regear also....
How is everyone else making out with this kit ?

I am now 5 in shoulder 2 in center mid range and top end is great but bottom end isn't as good as stock set up.
Should I remove 1 from shoulder? Feels like it isn't back shifting quick enough. When I see a rise in the trail I can't pull the front end up like I could with stock set up.

Are you using the Red spring ? If so, sounds like your sled is bang on for that set up. I haven't touched my secondary settings, but I'm assuming more pressure on the secondary spring would raise top rpms ? I have the same track as well, and some say the added lug height will slow the sled down, perhaps that's the reason for lower top end speed.

Sounds like something's not right with your clutches. Your sled should pull the front end up over a crest at will ! Also, with that set up, your sled is supposed to be grabbing the belt MUCH better than stock. You might want to pm Turk and see what he thinks.

Might be the snow conditions too, very mild here yesterday. I think I will leave it until it cools down and see what happens. Thanks for the help.NyTrOMaNIaC said:radianguy said:I am now 5 in shoulder 2 in center mid range and top end is great but bottom end isn't as good as stock set up.
