I don't know about an updated one, but it is covered under warranty. My local dealer had it covered as well as the exhaust.

i dont think any cable will last,once ice gets in there it will break,only a matter of time.
I havent had a cable since first season...just set it where i liked it.

My buddy just bought a new 1 and it's different than his original, it has a thicker jacket and kind of soft silicone type coating and larger screw on fittings on either ends...for $50.00 CDN!!! it better last a LIFE time.LOL
