Noticed I had quite a few radiator fins bent, so I spent an hour bending them back as best as I could. ordered the Schmidt radiator screen that says it will protect it better along with better airflow for cooling. while I can see the benefit for better protection with this screen, I'm not sure that there will be better airflow for cooling.

I would not run that. Ice will form on it. Just get a comb made for fins.
Frogskin over the plastic lovers works best for extra protection.

I would think that would reduce airflow also
