How did this respond to the accelerator and the airbox mod?

Without putting it on a dyno I don't know for sure, but I would have to say it was a noticable difference.
The accelerator is very user friendly and I just bumped up the settings one at a time. I Checked the plugs after a few races with a mule sled, and adjust as needed.

Hey, that is exactly what I was planning to do! I was going to use the TPI valves that you can open and close. Do you think the fuel accelertor is nessesary?

Looks like a Yammy travel bag??
OR NITROUS BOTTLE HIDER???

Yes it's the travel bag. It also acts as a cover for my accelerator

I guess I will add my two cents from two different view points.
One, for the guys who are making their own and slaming the Fix kit, if it didn't work why did you do it?
Two, for the guys who complain about the cost, these shops have huge overhead, lets not forget how much actually gets thrown out that we never see. These are not garage's they are woking out of.
Three, Since it seems some guys think cost is a factor and it should drop down etc, put this into perspective, your working at you job making 30000 a year and have been trained to do it for a year but are now full trained so it's going to cost lees to watch you and train you so should they drop your wage to 15000 a year since you have been working for a full year (yes right we all know the anser to that one). We all want the Dealers, Performance shops and whoever else to bend over backwards for us and call them rip offs and so forth for the cost but DO YOU THINK YOUR BEING OVER PAID AT YOUR JOB (HEEL NO) MAYBE YOUR COMPANY DOES. WITHOUT SOME OF THESE TOP GUYS OUT THEIR DOING THIS DEVELOPMENT WHERE WOULD WE BE? DO WE KNOW WHAT THEIR BILLS ARE AND WHAT THEIR OVERHEAD IS? WHO MADE THE DECESION TO BUY (WE DID) IT MAY BE THE PRICE BUT IT WORKS.
HOW DO I KNOW, i HAVE 3 APEX'S AND ALL 3 OF THEM HAVE IT ON AND I SEE 7-9 MPH GAIN ON TOP END ON ALL OF THEM. I HAVE BEEN ON SNO WEST, SNO GOER AND HERE AND HAVE SEEN MANY RIDERS SAY IT WORKS GREAT. DO THE ONES THAT SAY IT DOES NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEIR SLED (POSSIBLEY) IF YOUR CLUTCHING IS NOT SET UP CORRECTLY FOR THE ENHANCED INTAKE IT COULD ACTUALLY MAKE YOU SLOWER, INSTEAD OF KNOCKING IT WHY DON'T YOU CALL HIM AND ASK IF THEIR IS SOMETHING MISSING. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE THAT HAS SAID THAT THEY HAVE DONE THAT BUT RIP ON THE GUY.
I PERSONALLY BELIEVE IN THE GUY, HE HAS DONE MY SRX'S, MY RX1'S AND MY APEX'S.
BET YOU DON'T KNOW HIS MOTORS WERE IN THE 4 STROKES THAT TOOK 1ST IN ALASKA ON THE CROSS COUNTRY 175 MILE RACE, THAT HE DID THE CLUTCHING FOR FACTORY YAMAHA IN SNOW CROSS, AND THEIR ARE OTHER 4 STROKE MOTORS OUT THEIR THAT ARE RACING FOR PRO FACTORY YAMAHA BUT WHAT THE HELL. SOMEONE SHARES PERFORMANCE GAINS AND KNOWLEDGE AND PRODUCT AND WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BASH IT AND SAY WE CAN PUT TOGEATHER ONE WITH NEEDLE AND THREAD. (GET A GRIP)
AS FOR THE COLD AIR KIT, DON'T BE FOOLED BY WHAT WAS SIAD ABOVE, THIS KIT DOES WORK, I WAS RIDING LAST YEAR WHEN IT IT WAS 43 DEGREES IN MICHIGAN AND NONE AND I SAY NONE OF MY MACHINES RAN SLUGGISH OR DID THE TEMP LIGHT EVER COME ON WHILE THE OTHER ATTAK AND TWO APEX'S THAT WE WENT WITH WERE CONTIOUSLY RUNNING TEMP LIGHTS ON AND RUNNING SLUGGISH. THIS IS NOT A HP GIAN BUT A MOTOR PERFORMANCE TO HAVE AIR CIRCULATED AROUND THE MOTOR MORE KEEPING IT COOLER RESULTING IN. CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS FOR ME? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A MOTOR RUNS COOLER?
I THINK BOTTOM LINE IS WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A REALITY CHECK AND LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE HERE, BUSINESSES NEED TO STAY IN BUSINESS, EVERY YEAR MORE PERFORMANCE SHOPS ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. SUPPORT THE SPORT THEY SAY, WELL THAT MEANS SUPPORT THE GUYS WHO ALSO PUT ALL THEIR TIME INTO DOING THE THINKING SO SOMEONE CAN HALF A** BE PROUD OF SAYING THEY PUT TOGEATHER A KIT WITH NEEDLE AND THREAD AND KNOCK THE GUY WHO HE STOLD THE IDEA FROM AND DID ALL THE TESTING ON.
YOU ALL NEE TO KNOCK OFF THE BASH SESSIONS HERE, IT'S ALMOST AS BAD AS WATCHING THE NEWS EVERYNITE. A COUPLE GUYS ONE WHO IS NEEDLE AND THREAD AND MADE HIS OWN THAT KNOCK IT AND NOW YOUR TAKING AWAY FROM A BUSINESS THAT HAS A GREAT REPUTATION FOR PERFORMANCE BY KNOCKING HIS PRODUCT WHEN THEIR IS AS MANY THAT SAYS IT WORKS. I WOULD THINK THIS SHOULD SAY TO THE OTHERS (MAYBE YOUR SLED WAS NOT SET UP RIGHT) THINK BEFORE YOU TALK, HOW WOULD THIS AFECT YOUR JOB WHERE YOU WORK IF YOUR PRODUCT WAS BEING TALKED ABOUT WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WORK YOUR BUTT OFF AND YOUR WORTH EVERY PENNY OF IT. OR NOT ?
JUST SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT

You know I have been trying to get Fix to advertise and he sounds interested but has not been getting back to me.... With all the BS advertisers that like to free load and not pay I have to stick to my guns, this post will most likely be taken down....
I have heard many great things about his product and it would be really great to see him come and be part of Totallyamaha so he can post the truth and not have it bias from a bad sale or two.

The thing works, that's all there is to it. It's pretty simple if you think it's over priced simply don't buy it.

By the way before anyone questions this, I'm a customer of his and do not feel I have been riped off but it angers me to see guys on here who will see posts that say they have had excellent reuslts and will continue to push their belief all around the good reults that the product stinks and the only posts that are remembered are yours and your posts do not mean you are right but they have a dramatic affect on others who may read them which can hurt a business or another person.

That's fine if he was the person tauting his goods, but it isn't. It's his customers. Are you going to shut down any thread talking good about a product if that vendor isn't an advertiser?MrSled said:You know I have been trying to get Fix to advertise and he sounds interested but has not been getting back to me.... Mighty i have to agree with you big time,i just dont understand the logic here of taking his post away to the trash can, why?? All the guy is doing is voicing his opinion right, and for the record allen has been busy doing dyno runs with the fix cover i sent out to him,and allen already stated to me the track hp gains it made, and he stated the field gains he got,so why the big deal Mr.Sled!MightyRTX said:That's fine if he was the person tauting his goods, but it isn't. Off this subject, to allens post, you said you dyno'd the ram air kit. and you have tested it on the track. thats what approx 1200 feet, not enough time to pull all the way though. this is where I'm seeing the top end gains and it's more than 1.5 which could be consistant in 1200 feet but to give those numbers vs full top end gains is not consitant This is what he is selling, Ram air kit 6-9 MPH on top end not on the dyno nor on a 1/4 mile track although you have proven it works which is what is important which means in loger stretches this will only increase the gain.
However a ram air kit cannot be dyno'd as you have static air on the dyno, it would be like when you are standing still your cheeks do not move, then you take a ride going at 70 + miles an hour and your cheeks get compressed (which is not static air)and this is what makes the ram air work as the air gets forced down in, weather it is a Bike, sled or whatever. it's the air being forced down into the cavity. This you cannot achieve on a Dyno. either track dyno or off the crank. You would have to have I would imagine thousands of dollars invested into some sort of wind tunnel in order to get the same affect.
The biggest thing here is there are guys who say it works and are happy with it . Why before a guy posts that it sucks cannot he call or indicate he has called the shop who designed it to find out why it may not be working before he says it sucks and indicate his setup as there may be a certain set up that he is not able to obtain the perfomance gains s lot of us have seen. Again, I think it is important, not one of these guys have said why it does not work but have implied to other posts about the product that it does not work and it stinks or sucks. These are not useful posts but harmful to the business enviorment that produces these products.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALLEN FOR TESTING THIS PRODUCT SINCE WE KNOW HE DEVELOPS PRODUCT AS WELL AND I'M SURE WORKS COUNTLESS HOURS AT IT. SO WITH THIS SAID SINCE FIX IS NOT ON HERE BUT ALLEN IS YOU GUYS TAKE ALLENS WORD WHICH I APPRECIATE BUT FIX HAS TESTED AND HAS GIVEN RESULTS AND FIX DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. I THINK THAT IS WRONG FOR VENDORS TO BE TESTING ANOTHER ONES PRODUCT AND THEN TO PUT IT ON A MESSAGE BOARD FOR REVIEW AND COMMENT ON HIS LIKES AND DISLIKES. THIS SHOULD BE LEFT UP TO INDEPENDANT TESTING(PROFESSIONAL) WHEN YOU ARE ADVERTISING ON A WEBSITE AND NOT ADVERTISERS WHO SELL PRODUCT ON THAT WEBSITE. IF ALL THE VENDORS ON HERE THAT ADVERTISE WERE TO START COMMENTING ON EACH OTHERS PRODUCT IT WOULD NOT BE GOOD TO SAY THE LEAST.

No, I am not taking this post down, I had to reread the post and look at it from a different angle. But I have seen people use people to promote their products. Its really tough to control in some aspects. You dont have to agree with me but you really need to look at it close, and if anyone can do it any better feel free. If I let to much go I get hammered by other Vendors and if I nail every post that I feel maybe wrong I get hammered by the users....so its a sucky spot to be in.
Sorry if this post was hi jacked.....hope no one was offended, but I had to look into it.

Rideblueforever, you seem to think I'm bashing Fix's product which I have never done. I have ran it on the asphalt at 121+ mph and I have seen as much as 1.5 hp to the track gain with it. Also there are not too many people that dyno with static air in the dyno room. Most dyno operations have 80+ mph air moving to create a more natural enviroment and represent "real world conditions" or dynoing would be of no use. The only reason I ran one is because mnmsnowmbeast (Pete) sent me his to run since he got his from another user of this site and was out of snow to test it on at the end of last season and wanted to see if there were truly gains. Anytime someone has posted all summer long asking about it I have posted that it made gains!
I've been on this website giving helpful information much longer than I've been an advertiser. I was here helping & providing information since the fall of 2002 (the first year the RX-1 was out when this site was RX1.info) which was two years before we began advertising beyond our local area for our performance products. If you look around you'll see I have provided useful information on hundreds of things whether it had anything to do with our shop or not. You will also see I don't bash others products! If I can provide useful and truthful information to someone who has a question I will post and help them out and continue to do so as well.
