Well shes back home in the garage and less than 2 nights of work she'll be ready.
I picked her up at Hauck Powersports on Saturady after a short 3 weeks (delayed because Pat was finishing another stellar racing season). We took a fuel injected 06 Apex motor and installed a stroker crank bumping the beast to 1100 CCs. We replaced everything we could in the motor and added the GYT-R air filter kit and the Fuel Accelerator to control the injection mapping on the fly. This coupled with the existing GYT-R-Dun race pipe (wild sound) should get me to about 180 to 185 hp. All of this is crammed into my little old 03 RX-1.
I also installed the Apex seat, handle bars & riser, electronics, speedometer and exhaust covers. She looks a bit like an 05 Nytro.
All of this is coupled to the ground through a Bender Re-action mono shock suspension with a Kimpex shotgun 1-1/4" trac, Pioneer Performance 13mm sway bay, Ohlin resevior clicker shocks on the front with Simmons flex ski's carving the white stuff.
the biggest challenge of the project other than the drain on the wallet was the electric fuel pump in the gas tank. Its in and fits I just need to pressure test it and then fill er up !
All that is left is to set up the Heel Clicker II clutch and find some snow.
I wanted to powder coat the front suspension and paint the body work yellow but seem to be running out of project funds, that may have to wait till later.
Anyhow just waiting for the 1st flake of the season and a little ice on the lake. I think its Mach season.

Just about done, fire her up and man oh man. 3 body panels, go over the bolts in & grease the rear suspension and she is ready for snow.
Its going to take a bit to get her all set up with the new motor (clutching), new 13mm sway bar and the new Ohlins on the front but after a day Im sure she will be ready for flight.
I did not bolt the seat on yet the new Skinz cover has not arrived but should be here this weekend I hope.
I shot a couple quick pics for now check her out. Well I tried to add pics but they are to large and I dont have the software on this computer to downsize them I'll get it and post later.

Try this for Pics. Tork Had a posting saying this is the best way and you keep the higher resolution and do not fill up TY's system.
Try it and se if anything comes up.

Your risers, is that just a 6 inch block with a set of apex bars? Where did you buy them? Sled looks awesome.

lookin sweet!!!!! I went with the 5' rox and sno- pro bars, that things gonna run!!!
It's all Apex parts - I bought a totalled one and brought everything over including the riser block. the bars don't feel any higher because the seat is raised about an equal amount.
Just waiting for snow. I loaded the trailer last night 3 - RX-1's and an Attack. This will be a fun 1st weekend.

Well I got her out on Sunday. I drove the whole way to White Pine Michigan on Saturday in the storm. too 7 hours got to Bingos in Wakefield & they were closed. I turned back to Ironwood and got a room. It was blowing hard and no one was out so I didn't unload to ride by myself at night.
As always I was up at 5:30 Sunday ready to ride I drove up to White Pine and she would not start. I realized I stopped on the way up and filled her up and the return line from the fuel rail I had plumbed into the abandoned top fuel pump supply line (now running the tank mounted electric pump) which was now below the gas in the tank and it would not allow the fuel to return to the tank. So as a temp fix I plugged both and return through the top vent line.
After a couple other small issues were fixed I took off. They have not groomed in the UP yet and there was over 2' of snow I made it 2 miles in an hour and got stuck 3 times. The last time the snow was over the hood to the windshield & I had to be pulled out by a passing 4 wheel drive truck. I rode the road back to the rig and played in the parking lot.
I did not want to beat on the new motor to hard but I dialed in the clutch weights and played with the Hauk fuel accelerator. this thing has a definite punch and pulls the skis until you let off the go button.
I still have a way to go on the setup but I can see this thing pulling you off the bars at well over 100 MPH.
I talked to a groomer and he said they were hoping to start by mid week. They are calling for another 12" to 20" by Thursday.
Coming down through last night they were already rolling trails south & west of Hurley they open next Monday.
