Mulot meant my ftp, he was going to upload his version so i could try it, i can't get the rpm hold function to work with mine, regardless of installing the latest patch, Mulot didn't even have to install any patch.

I got one answer from Daniele where he asked if i patched to latest version, after i replyed him.....nothing....

"edit" Now i got reply, must check wich version my Rapid Bike module has, must be later then 4.3!

"edit 2" My problem has nothing to do with this thread, but i inform you anyway, the Rapid Bike module must have project (as Daniele called it, i believe it's same as "firmware", program of the module) later then 4.3 to have the rpm hold function, i have project 3.8.
The main reason i bought the Rapid Bike module was because the "stutter" function, now i must contact Powderlite and hope i can get an answer how to solve it, i don't know if i can update it myself or if i must send it back to them, but hopefully my problem soon is solved, sorry if i hijacked this thread!

What a .... bummer - hope you can get it fixed before the snow flies, which can be any day soon.

I saw in the weatherforecast that the mountain region close to you will have below freezing temps even at daytime for the next few days..... we're closing in on winter :)

How did you check to see what "firmware" you had? I got one of the first rapid bikes from Dave at Powderlites and mine seems to work.

My problem is the PDA phone I have will not allow me to make changes to the map screen.

I hope you can get it fixed.....

At the bottom of the software there is a symbol looking like a chip, beside that the project version shows when Rapid Bike module is hooked up.

"edit" Dimsport told me i must send it to a dealer to get it upgraded!
No one in Sweden, Norway or Finland deals with RapidBike, so i must get hold of Powderlites so i can send it to them, if i can get hold of them, i have always had hard to do that.

I got an update from DimSport

And my 480x640 IPAQ pda now seems to work flawlessly.

ONly remains to be check is the bleutooth connectivity, but looking good.

They got mine working as well. Pretty good response. They had to write a new program for my specific phone to work. Took them only a couple of days and I'm in business!!

Any more news or issues with which type of PDA a guy uses? I was looking at getting a new iPAQ 210 to use and just wondering if there were any more problems that arose in the last month or so.

I got an Ipaq 110 and after a bit of messing around, it works with the software that came on the disk. The downside is that you cant adjust things like the pump correction or the map voltage. Maybe they'll have an updated version that will allow it on the pda.
