Real World 1500 Mile Low Down of new Ski Doo XR-S 900 Turbo vs. SideWinder

HUuummmm so you believe Global Warming is total BS then?

:hide:

Yeah it is.....lol. our planet is changing at a rate 400x faster than our last near extinction. From today forward we will see more natural catastrophic events then we have in the last 400 years. We are now rushing to build a space station that we can habitat in the next 5yrs. And by 2035 man will set foot on Mars.
Someone needs to start up a company selling Mars buggies!

Global Warming.....anyone?

That’s a very political statement and I have found it’s best for me to stay away from political views and statements.

Our past governor did not buy in. This new female Gov has, and is looking at different ways
of creating a CARBON tax to pay for the( So Far ) 9 state agenda concerning...

Huh, whereas our state loves taxing the #*$&@ out of everything, maybe a CAT or YamaCat tax could be coming to help their situation!

Crying shame Yamaha gave up on the Nytro who knows how it would have evolved? I liked the ones I rode.
Well, all they had to do was read this forum and see how guys were modifying them.

I miss my Nytro. It was far from stock, but handled better and was more comfortable to ride than the winder, and way more fun. The weight distribution with the rear exhaust and turbo was better. Too bad the nytro front end was POS, and the skid as well. Procross front end on a Nytro bulkhead and tunnel with a cat 129 skid would be deadly.

Not gonna happen!
When I worked for Harley Davidson and meet quite a few product engineers. Most are arrogant A$$holes and would never ask or listen too peons like you and me. In a situation where nobody would even know, they still would not search information from a public site, it would be much too hard on their fragile egos.

Here’s the fastest tight corner sled I’ve ever owned/ridden.
Bender 835 BB and pipes, M10 rear suspension, 1 3/8” snow pro track, C&A’s, Fox clickers all around revalved for my riding style, Mach Z carbs and Heal-x roller secondary.
Instantaneous 185hp geared for the tight stuff.

I got a batch of bad gas and she blew, that’s coolant on the snow. When the piston seized it put a rod through the case.
:drink:

Seriously not a long trip sled but...
Handled On Rails!

Took the big stuff almost as good as my RR skided viper but center of gravity was much lower. Kick your feet back and just fly around corners twice as fast these stand up sleds.

I would take it up against any 850 in the twistys and the moguls!

Atleast the coolant matches the sled:dunno:

In 2008 when Yamaha did factory rides in Houghton , MI I rode every sled in the Yamaha line up including the 2ups. What a blast and the Nytro was sooo much fun I almost bought one. The Apex 136 won the day for me found a black non current 2007 Attack GT bought it even tho the skis were darting all over. The mono EC was new to me but with a little wrenching I got the darting under control and the mono EC was as smooth as butter. Imo the mono EC 136 was the best riding japan built skid ever. Yamaha just didn’t evolve to a better rear suspension even back then. Why I’ll never know.

Had a viper , with triple pipes , mountain performance head , & full case porting , those things are a blast when u have them right on the edge . But if it gets to cold out at night or bad gas .....bang lol
