really, How fast?

Less than 400 miles on it and it smoked me. Imagine what it would do if it was broke in. I believe 124 or 127. Regardless, I was topped out and got passed.

From what we seen last weekend the only way your going to pass an 06 is with N20, turbo or a Super Charger. We had around a dozen 03-05 RX's running on the lake against an 06 and no amount of clutching, jetting, gearing, exhaust or filters was enough to beat the 06. ===SRXSRULE===
Thats making me want one especially along with the handling improovements

Now I'm thinking ok...who can I sell my Rage to...lol even tho I just love the sled...Hmmm :? Well maybe I'll wait a year or two more and see if they come out with injection on the RS models that would be sweet too!

Well come on tom post some of the speeds spsrx talked about, now you got my attention wow i guess they have there clutching down all i know is the er we had at colebrook riped very good acrossed a very rough pond, and woddy told me that the weights this year are somewhere around 85 grms. wow thats heavy considering the sled revs right to 10,500 with no lag at all,oh man i cant wait for nest fall, man its going to be a very long summer!!!!! :tg: ;)!

so what, are you suppose to baby these 4 stroke during break in period, i always broke my sleds in the xact way i planned on riding it..

Ironviper...Lots of opinions on this topic, So this is mine :) I have done alot of research on this and the true window of time to break in a motor is about 0-20 miles. After that, the rings are done doing what they are going to do. The best thing you can do during that window is keep the cumbustion chamber pressure high which keeps the ring to cylinder wall pressure high. The way you do that is with alot of throttle :) Now....this dont mean hodl it wide open down the lake for 20 miles. It means you still want to varry the throttle, but hammer on it very hard when you can. Fast (SAFE) trail riding with some rail grade mixed in is a great way to break them in. Before my sled had 25 miles on it I had it turning 10,200 rpm. Last weekend with 1200 miles on it I had it up to 10,500 on the lake and there was sleds there with me that had a few thousand miles and still wont turn over 9,800 rpm and they never will unless you remove weight from the clutching. I should also add, my sled is 99% stock, the only thing done is a plug change. ===SRXSRULE===

well thats exactly how i planned on breaking it in, hard at times and less throttle at times, you cant exactly go full throttle through the trails anyhow, but im not gonna do a 2 mile full throttle lake run either.

Actually....after a hand full of miles I think a 2 mile run would be perfect. When mine had 26 miles on it I had it up to 126mph and that was a 1-2 mile pull. ===SRXSRULE===
