Like mid summer we started seeing articles on line telling everyone about changes Ski Doo had made to the new 850 sleds during production. Why does Yamaha/AC seem to think they don't need to tell anyone? They never tell even their dealers.

Has this type of thing happened on pure Yamaha sleds in the past? Or has it only been since the joint venture with Cat?

Start with your dealer. Then call Yamaha at 800.962.7926. Be sure to use the phrase; "Bait and Switch"Who is the right party to call and b&$*% to on this? I need to be made whole somehow here.

This is new. Since buying several Yamaha sleds since 2003, I've never had a new one come in that wasn't what I was expecting. Sure, hand warmers were an issue on Apex's. But this is the first time I'm aware of radical changes from the time we ordered the product to what was actually delivered.Has this type of thing happened on pure Yamaha sleds in the past? Add me to the list of disappointed customers. What gets me is that this type of change was known waaayyyy before hand and not a last minute thing that was changed right before they shipped. If they were getting these heavy duty suspensions, the heavy duty rails and and other parts would have been manufactured quite a while ago before assembly of any units could begin. Which means Yamaha knew about this for who knows how long and left it up on the website and in the literature to sell more machines. A $500 yamaha accessory card would make me feel a lot better. I already have the 5 year extended YES plan so I'm not that interested in additional warranty. The race rear suspension and shocks were my primary reason for spring ordering.

I also already have a 5 year warranty so I hope they compensate with something else if they do anything at all!!

The end of this video has a nice close-up of the race suspension that we didn't get
Not first time. 15 Viper le was missing hi lo and kashima on shocks. 16 the entire engine. Which is not turbo capable even. None of these changes were told to dealers or customers. 14 Viper I don't recall anything missing. This is new. See the rails are very beefy.
I wish someone would just measure the rails you have.
