Can anyone post the results?
Go to the USXC website full results are posted. Really cold, and really rough. Yamaha did not fare so well.....Lindbom was doing pretty good but had a mechanical early on the third day. No Yamaha finished the race.

The Yamahas that finished came in last place. They had a number of DNF's. So much for all the greater reliability talk everyone loves to tout on this site.

Way to pull 2013 Data.... and Erdman on a Yamaha was 3rd.... However this is 2014 :) We had the third Fastest lap on Day 2, Lindbom was running in Third when a chain blew

104 was really flying on the Goodridge loop on day 2. Starting in the first group really helps. Day three was brutally rough, lots of sleds, of all brands arrived in the backs of pickups!

I see you are right. I didn't notice they hadn't updated their website yesterday when I posted my link. Initially I saw the results on their FB page. Doesn't change anything though, Yamaha was dead last. What a joke. They came in last place at Duluth, did terrible at the Soo 500, and at the I-500 they couldn't even finish all three days of racing. After reading all these threads on here about chain case problems it looks like even the factory race team doesn't have a fix for them. I wonder if Cory Davidson is regretting his decision to switch to Yamaha this season as his results are way worse than last year. Lots of DNF's.

cats DNF'ed as well law of averages.. Piche was in 7th after day one till he crashed hard and broke the steering colums

Bad luck was abound However with a smaller sample of riders that will happen. Not sure what point you are trying to glean from the results. Last years Winner Simmons out Early. Bunke won the Soo Track Derailed and was out before Fuel stop. MANY MANY Polaris down with ignition issues and blown motors. Its the I500 anything happens. Brain Dick went out two years ago early

Their results for this past season speak for themselves. They've not been competitive all season. Now that they are racing with the big boys they are finding out it isn't as easy as beating up on grass roots privateers in the COR circuit.

The mantra on this site about Yamaha reliability isn't true. The #85 sled went down in the Soo for a motor problem. So did most of the Nytros in last years Soo, Erdman's sled was trailing smoke midway through that race. Crashes happen to anyone but motor and chain case failures should not be happening to factory race sleds. When is the last time you've watched one of the top pros pull off the track in motocross for a chain or engine failure? Once in a blue moon. Yamaha has had mechanical problems at every single race.

They raced with the big boys last year?? They just were limited to the open class to to other manufacturers throwing a fit.... Pretty sure Ben won Semi-pro title. Pretty Sure Ross won a few races as well :) This is a new to Yamaha Chassis go look at 2012 and how cat struggled with the new Chassis. I am not sure what Grass roots privateers you are referring to but Herfindal has been at Cor races Selby was at a few. Casey Pieres runs it and was the points leader in USXC semi-pro. Just pointing out facts.

There you go, the other racers were semi-pros running a regional event. Not a factory team Yamaha showing up to race a regional event (COR).

As far as other OEM's "throwing a fit". Yamaha chose to race COR in '11-'12 because they didn't want to follow the rules for USCC. They knew full well the production Nytro was not competitive. They entered the first USCC race of that season with their kitted Nytros and the other OEM's protested and rightly so. The other OEM's actually build sleds that comply with ISR rules. Why was it so hard for Yamaha to comply?

It funny to see that now Yamaha is running production based sleds they can't compete. They can no longer show up with a handful of one off race sleds that cost tens of thousands of dollars a piece. They will be hurting even more next year when the Super Sport class takes over as the premier class.
