Regular vs premium gas

We ran methanol in the Banshee's back in the day but always carried a "purge bottle" in the trailer to hook onto the fuel lines and run mix gas into the engine while so it wouldn't corrode the internals. If your stock, 87 is the way to go as its cheaper, burns hotter, and more heat = more HP. When we used to grass drag SRX's, everyone thought you had to try to sneak in race gas - we actually went to some old gas station that still sold 85 octane and ran that - it burned hotter and got the pipes hotter that much faster.

Out here 87 is always fresher, mostly because 91 is about 24 cents a litre more, or a lot of places don't carry it or it's bin in the tank since last August.
