Think you can get to the inside with a chisel? If not, use a dremel to grind it.

There is a tool that is similar to a dent puller where you can invert the end pullers for removal of this bearing race. We have one at work! Check it out on the web

bearing
a dremal with a cuting wheel cut two slots one on each side inside the race and it will fall out. bu take your time. that bearing fit,s tite in there even when new. once you socore it real well just tap it with a hammer and chizel and it will brake on the scored line,s as the race is very hard.

puller
A reverse bearing puller should pull it out.

I'm going thru almost the same thing, only I'm changing mine before it goes bad. I took out the cross shaft and used a long chisel like tool to remove the bearing. BUT, now that I've got it apart, I need the upgraded part numbers. Anyone have the numbers?

You do NOT need the washers. The collar and nut are sufficient. You can use the original 03 washers. Different part numbers, same thickness, no difference.
