There is a tool that is similar to a dent puller where you can invert the end pullers for removal of this bearing race. We have one at work! Check it out on the web ;)!

bearing

a dremal with a cuting wheel cut two slots one on each side inside the race and it will fall out. bu take your time. that bearing fit,s tite in there even when new. once you socore it real well just tap it with a hammer and chizel and it will brake on the scored line,s as the race is very hard. ;)!

I'm going thru almost the same thing, only I'm changing mine before it goes bad. I took out the cross shaft and used a long chisel like tool to remove the bearing. BUT, now that I've got it apart, I need the upgraded part numbers. Anyone have the numbers?

coller

thats a coller out of the 03 just get the 04 parts as an up grade. coller, lock nut and washers. now is the time to do this. 04-05 -06 use these parts
