Has anyone done it? If so how much of a pain in the arz is it?. I just purchased a 08 nytro rtx a couple weeks ago, had it already to go for the season today. I warmed the sled up and came back out to check it over and saw a spot on the heat exchanger. Needless to say I never saw the ding in the exchanger when I bought it, but it's leaking. I have never had a problem with studs before but I guess when someone buys junk studs and backer plates they pull through. I had over 5000 miles on my apex rtx with 192 gold diggers and had only 2 pull through, this sled had 20 pull throughs with only 2000 miles on it. But anyways I'm going to have it welded but will it be easier to bring the sled over to his shop with the suspension and drive shaft out of it, or remove the heat exchanger and bring that to him. Have to drain antifreeze either way.

Believe it or not, J.B. Weld will work as well. Of course welding is recommended but the J.B. weld does hold up good. Always put a package of the quik set stuff in your tool kit, great weekend saver.

Gotta pull the subframe then one cast aluminum side to get it out. Not really as bad as you think. I have welded up and tested exchanger if you're imterested in it.
