I have a 14 Viper short track. My wife rides the sled and she complains that it is darty. What skies can I put on it so it is a nice easy handling machine with proper trail manners?
Thanks
SLP SLT skis with your choice of carbides. Great skis with easy turning pressure and probably the most dart free ski you can buy. Better than stock Viper or Cat skis. They wont break the bank either. Guaranteed she will love them.
Lots Snow tracker posts here but I'm not a big fan and wouldn't put them on my sleds.

I agree with the reply above. I have a 2014 that originally had Cat skis. All skis have strengths and weakness. Darting is not a weakness on Cat skis. After 15k Miles I went to Doo skis to improve steering authority under some conditions. Now 5k miles later I can say there is times I miss the ‘steady as she goes’ nature of the Cat skis. Check ski pressure to determine if it is appropriate for the weight of the driver. Check to make sure you have toe out. Also check to see if your trailing wear bar is still intact. The 14 RT-X came with Cat skis which are a very good ski, nice starting point.
I would begin with the Cobra carbides in a length adequate for her riding style. Heavy ski pressure and miss-alignment of the ski will also cause extreme darting depending on snow conditions. I find many riders tend to run heavy on the front skies, probably unknowingly set that way from dealer giving a rail like feel in the corners sometimes a little tippy but very uncomfortable in a straight line or while on engine brake into a corner. Heavy ski pressure will dart, just how much depends on many factors. I would start with ski pressure, ride height and alignment. Then install a good carbide see what changes then adjust accordingly. Skies alone in most cases will not solve a darting issue. After everything is all set up perfect some occasional darting may occur, after all the surface in which we ride is ever changing and only seat-time can help. https://www.qualipieces.com/cobra#_...rderBy:null&IsDescOrder:false&Index:0&Count:0

I installed the USI Tripple Threats, with 6" shapers and stage one. They were a really good deal and I wanted something wider . I am worried about the reviews and the issues with the set up . 75kms with them so too early to tell..

Honestly, I do not own stock in Snow Trackers (ST's), but I wish I did! There is a new thread in the general discussion started by a recent "convert" to ST's. He got the aggressive ST's, and he is extremely happy with their performance on a sled he could not get to handle properly any other way. I have always gone with the semi-aggressive, and I have heard tales of people using the aggressive ST's actually rolling their sleds because they hold too well in the corners. If good tracking with minimal push in the corners and minimal darting are your goals, I would be shocked if you could find an after market ski that would handle as well as the OEM Arctic Cat skis with ST's on them.
When people put them on the most hated ski in world”TUNERS” what is the result?Honestly, I do not own stock in Snow Trackers (ST's), but I wish I did! I don't seem to mind the 15 yamaha dual tuner skis on the trail. They rail through the corners very well with 8 inch carbides on the outside and 4 in the inside. Only lacking flotation in the deep stuff. But they work great on hard pack. Absolutely no darting either.

I have snow trackers on my apex and work amazing, also have curve skiis on viper and there is zero darting. Curve skiis have 6" carbides with 4" dual carbides on the tips, awesome set up and corners really well!

I have only run the Snow Trackers on single keel skis. I have seen pictures of the Trackers for Tuners, and they are much different, but still utilize the same concept. I don't know if anything could truly "save" the Tuner skis from mediocrity, but if I was forced to run them on my Viper, I would give the Trackers a shot! When people put them on the most hated ski in world”TUNERS” what is the result?

Bite the bullet and make your wife HAPPY!! Sno-trackers on '14 ski's is what I have and they just simply work. It's like adding power steering to your sled, something your wife will appreciate. If my wife rode a Viper (she rides a Doo 900 ACE Gade) this would be the very first mod I'd do.

I have a pair of 2015 tuner skis for sale if you are interested!

What are you asking for them? I went the opposite route. Had curves and swapped them for SLP skis and never looked back. Might be interested in another pair of SLT's for another sled.
