Hey guys, I pulled out the mono shock and I want to put a ski-doo or arctic cat rear skid in its place. I have a 2007 attak with a CPR turbo. I am going to be running a speed track with lots and lots of picks. I am running into problems finding a newer 2005 and up 136" rear skid. Here is where I have questions.
Does a 121 rear skid with extentions do the same job and have the same strength as a standard 136"????
Also from what everybody sees out there what is your recommendations on this.
any help is great
thanks

If you are staying planted on the ground and not jumping. I think that a quality rail extension like the tracks USA 121-136" are plenty strong. But if you intend to jump and tail land, full rails might be better.
I ran 136" extensions on an sxr for a couple winters and had no issues but was trail riding, not jumping.

AJ, see if you can find a 128" Firecat skid. That skid works very VERY well setup in drag form and extensions from 128 to 136 won't hurt a thing!
allen, isn't that skid to narrow?? I know those skids are great for transfer etc, I found a 136" crossfire skid what your thoughs on those??

AJ, I would think the Crossfire skid would work just as good. The Firecat skid would need different shafts for the mount arms into the tunnels to make up for the Firecat tunnel being narrower. Otherwise the rail spacing is the same on a 13.5" track or a 15" track.
I found a mint 2007 crossfire skid with 400 miles on it cheap. The guy also has a 2006 crossfire skid for sale. he wants 475 for it. If anybody is interested I can give you his info.
