I hit the limiter on just about every launch. Can and should I adjust the rev limiter with the ignition controller. This sled rips with the stock clutching, but maybe I should adjust that as well. Any ideas?

You might just as well shoot yourself in the head. The limiter is there for a REASON. If you're hitting it, then you have seriously screwed something up as it should NOT be even coming CLOSE. Sounds like it isn't shifting properly, you might want to fix that.
You sure seem aggressive with folks LB. I don't think I have read an answer by you that hasn't been condescending in some way. You are a great resource, but why don't you answer questions without making people to think that they are stupid for asking the question. Thanks

After all my mods I sometimes hit the rev limiter as well when pinning the throttle. It's just for a split second (not always) and then the RPM's come down to about 10800. According to Allen Ulmer the acceptable range with the Excell, PC111, Ignition module and airbox mod is any where from 10800 to 11000 RPM's. I am going to increase my rev limiter about 200 RPM's. Your RPM's will just briefly jump up past your cruising RPMs when snapping the throttle wide open before it settles into the normal operation RPM’s. Your RPM’s can increase fast enough to where your tachometer may not be quick enough to reflect the drastic increase in RPM's, after all the tach is analog and will have a bit of a lag!

after looking at your mods I would say you need a set of aftermarket clutch weights

LB: Shifts fine. The mods are causing what iceman described. Allen told me this would happen with the mods and from what I have read, the stock clutching is really competitive to the after market. LB lets line em up and then you can give me your opinion on if I screwd it up. lol

But seriously you should take it easy, that wasn't a real stupid question. If you intimidate too many this site will turn into those other sites that aren't worth the powder to blow them to h*ll. This site makes me happy that I bought a Yami 4 stroke, but I have noticed alot of harsh replies over pretty relative questions. We are all just trying to learn something here.
