Me bad. For the flashing fuel light, I just neglected to plug in one of the connections of the fuel tank. Still showing TORS though. I'm going to adjust tighten up the throttle cable now and see if that fixes the issue. Nice idea about driling a hole to access the TPS screw!

Hey Mooseman I know what your doing this weekend!
Uh, sledding? If you were thinking I'd be tinkering around with this, sorry. Too busy sledding and watching ice boogers accumulate. Oddly enough, I haven't had an issue with my reverse so far this season.

just an update. I did try the phazer 3 different times over the weekend. This problem is intermittent. First time I took it out, reverse worked perfect 6 or 7 times until I put it back in the shed. Next time, no go. Re started, no go. restarted, went 500m, worked again, and by the time I got back to shed, it wouldn't work. third time, worked perfect every time again. I am now convinced that the problem is an electrical one. My plan now is to check the power to the servo the next time it doesn't work. I am thinking that the ecu is not sending the + or - 12 volts when I press the button. When it works, it works perfect. When it doesn't, there isn't even an offer to go in reverse. It is like you are not even pressing the R button. It is exactly the opposite of the topic of this thread! sorry for getting off track but im hoping someone will help me out here with a solution to save the troubleshooting time.

To update, tightening up the cable didn't do the trick. TORS was still activating. So I readjusted the TPS but this time at full throttle, brought it just below 100. I tried for 99 but I think it came down to 97 by the time I tightened the screw. At idle, the diagnostic mode read 10, which is below the 14-18 range but the TORS doesn't come on any more and the machine ran like a dream on the trail, reverse works fine too.
I started my machine in -27C this morning and it starts but stalls. I had to restart it 5 times before it finally found it's groove and kept going. I turned up the idle adjustement screw a little, to 1900 RPM, hoping that this will solve that issue.
I'm still worried that I foul my plugs however. It smells like gas when I start the machine. I'm afraid it's flooding itself. I read other threds about adjusting the injectors to be lean or rich. Can anyone explain what lean/rich means and how this affects cold starting?
The shop where I brought my machine said I needed a new TPS. That I can't seem to adjut it within the ranges in the shop manual says they might be right, but at 300$ I want to be sure there isn't anything else I can do instead. I'm thinking of adjusting the range of motion on the throttle lever (not sure what that thing the cable fits into is called, the thing that turns and has a set screw). Does anyone know how this would affect the TPS readings I get in diagnostic mode?

Should be a section in there on how to properly test the TPS. If it's faulty I'd ebay a used one.

Yes there is. I guess I wasn't ready to take it off and mess things up. Moving it only slightly seemed less risky. Adjusting the idle screw did pay off. The machine didn't stall yesterday after start up. I'm a happy camper. Time to stop wrenching and start fishing!

We bought a '07 GT with only 3100 KM last year and from the get go reverse worked part time. Took it to the dealer and it was there for weeks while they troubleshooted the problem , they knew it was electrical and replaced the whole wiring harness; but it was the ECU which resolved the issue! It took Yammy's head tech from Toronto to solve the problem and lucky for us the harness and ecu was provided no charge.
