I began shifting in and out of gear while driving the sled. I found online that the reverse gearbox is the issue. I did find a used one, and put it into my sled. My question is how much lube should i put into the gearbox?
I see the little tube that feeds the gearbox while the machine is running but I`m assuming i shouldn't start it out dry and wait for that tube to fill the gear case. also how much oil should i put in it?
You don't normally add lube in there but you could pour in a little using the hole for the shift motor on top but this is not a normal procedure and it would be done with the shift motor removed. Total after should be according to the chaincase dispstick. You should also use the updated oil tube and grommet. https://ty4stroke.com/threads/07-fx-chain-case-leak.122264/
