I am sure this has been a problem with quite a few 07 Fx Phazers. When putting this sled in reverse it will stick between gears and I have to pull the sled until I hear a clunk then it will go into reverse. Then when I want to put it back in drive I have to do the same thing? It is kinda of a pain in the A#$ when I have to get off my Fx Nytro and walk to my Fiances 07 FX Phazer and do this every time we have to back up. The sled is cleaned after every ride and is gagraged so it melts all the snow off. So there isn't any icing problem to interfear with the reverse? Any Advise?

I had this happen when new and if you turn the sled off it should default back to forward. I have almost 2000 miles on our 07 Phazer and have not had any problems with reverse since the 1st few hundred.

It works when you turn the sled off sometimes? When you turn it off it then restart, it goes back in forward again then I try and put it in reverse and it still doesn't engage until you pull the sled and it clunks into reverse. This may be something I may heave to have my dealer look at? We ride with mostly Doo's and it is a little imbarrassing to constantly have to do this.

I would take it in as I have no trouble with mine. We use the reverse all the time. My son loves to hear it beep like a dump truck...LOL

I will do that. I also will be getting a fan that will be getting covered under warranty. A couple of reps came to the shop to try the RTX Nytro and an Apex in Southern Maine conditions. My dealer told them of my overheating issue (Fan KIT) and they said to submit it under warranty. I guess all your dealer has to do is submit a case to Yamaha (work with them) and it can be covered. I already let them know about my reverse problem and they will adress this the same time.

I had the fan added to mine and have never had the light on since.... its well worth the trouble to have that put on.

Under what condition were your temp lights coming on? I was running close to flat out on and off the throttle on wide groomed Forest Service roads last week (shhh...) and had the warning light come on. I stopped and checked the rad for blockage and it was clear. I let it idle for 30 seconds or so and it went out. Seems the engine makes more heat than it can get rid of at speed. oh, air temp outside was around 15 degrees...
The no reverse issue... i have that too. Rocking the machine never really works for me. I just wind up shutting the machine off and re-starting it. It then defaults back to drive, I either move a little forward or spin the track and try reverse again. 90% of the time this does the trick. Other times it takes a few tries. What a pain in the butt.
I love my FX tho... especially in the bumps!

The light comes on when traveling @ slow rates of speed. We had 4 inches of sticky snow over a hard packed base the other day and the light went on when ever we stopped for approx 1 min then we would take off and the light would eventually go off, until we stopped again. The reverse issue needs to be addressed though. I didn't buy a machine that had reverse in it, to have to rock the sled every time I tried to use reverse. This is a problem and when I get the fan put in They will be looking @ this rev/ problem also.
