Try bouncing up and down on the sled somehow that seems to work for mine and it will pop rite out no problem.

Oil the lever shaft and that will free it up then once it’s free add some grease to the shaft and that should solve your problem.

I find mine freezes up all the time when its really cold, lube the shaft, if you find it shifts easy after it is parked with a warm engine-it definately is frozen, the warmth of the engine defrosts it!!

Is there a fitting on there or do you just do your best to get grease on that shaft? Just so in know we are talking about the same one. You mean the one that is attached directly to the reverse handle you pull on and its goes into a sleeve and then hooks into other connectors right down the line?

no fitting, i used atf on the shaft because i had it right next to me and it worked great, no more seizing in reverse

Just pull the reverse lever out and apply some grease to the shaft while its extended and you'll be good to go!!!

I used the spray copper paste (anti-sieze) on mine since it was doing that to me last year. No problems since I sprayed it.

greased mine first year with no further, but have had two other issues. First when it is really cold the beeper wants to stick? Secondly, on my last trip it would pop out of reverse under load? I assume this is may be a slack drive chain, so I have adjusted it tighter.
Any other thoughts? how tight to adjust drive chain?

It was probably the reverse lever linkage out of adjustment. Make sure you follow the specs on the chain tension adjustment. Tighten the blot hand tight and then loosen it 1/4 turn and then tighten the locking nut. Below is a link to the linkage adjustment.

On mine it was due to being out of adjustment on both rods. One from the lever and the one down to shifter mechanism. Don't see that lube is the answer.
