1990 Sno Sport runs great until I attach the carb / air box connection ..... then it bogs .....

Carb is clean, float within spec, new fuel pump, new belt, choke removed and sealed off (temporarily .... waiting on a new plunger), new fuel lines, pilot screw at 7/8 turn slack per service manual ....

What's the most likely culprit ... damaged pilot screw?

The 3 or 4 air bleeds at the rear of the carb throat where the air box boot clamps on have to be re checked for blockages did you remove the pilot jet from insie the float bowl and clean it? with jet removed apply compressed air to the hole it came out of and it should come out of 1 of the air bleeds at the rear of the carb I have cleaned my own carbs on my enticer only to have to redo them because I loosened up debri that was trapped in passages this is where the carb dip the pros use is superior Hope this helps you out

Removed all the jets, needle valve, air screw, and all other parts shown as replaceable per the parts look up / shop manual .... wondered about the air bleeds - can / should they be removed?

Don't think that the air box is blocked off - had it all apart and cleaned out as well.

If I can't get it to run with the boot in place I'll try a K&N type filter.
