Wheels would be a good idea as rest of my slides were like new, surprising as ran a lot of ice, frozen trails last year due to low snow. Changed mine at 1000 K's.
I did. Couldn't get back quite enough though. Duponts work.View attachment 116700 View attachment 116701 slides were due!!
has anyone added wheels to the front of the skid?? (at the curve) the are really wore in that one spot and in the back center of slides are still mint!!!

I put DuPont on wife's sled and put plain white's on mine to gauge the difference!I did. Couldn't get back quite enough though. Duponts work.
do you have pics of where you added wheels? Did you drill new holes at the curved area?
Is pics somewhere here. Sled is thawing out right now so can't see anything yet. Yes I drilled some holes and used the little Yamaha wheels on two little shafts I made. A kit would work also. Just make sure there is room in between for shock.I put DuPont on wife's sled and put plain white's on mine to gauge the difference!

Here. These wheels need a lot of maintainence though being so small bearings go quickly. Will put Duponts back on for next year.

Well it looks like the end of the season is here!! (8 degrees and rain for the next few days)My wife and did get one last ride yesterday trails where rough I guess the groomers shut her down! But the ride was still fun!!
I did not put the kms I was hoping to do but pretty close!
I managed to put on 3000km which bring the sled to 4600km total!
In 4600km not one single issues beside running over my second snow flap!
I ran 3000km with the sandales pipe airbox mod and clutch kit with 0 issues
Now it's time to rip her apart and inspect all bearings, chain case, shocks, clean clutches, change oils, change snow flap for the second time, clean and wax....
Pretty sure a hurricane turbo is going on this summer!
overall I am extremely happy with my viper!
Time to dry her up and give her some much needed TLC

Time to revive this thread..haha
It's our second run of the season and both sled are running perfectly
We did about 100kms today trails are decent but could use a little more snow.

Nice to hear! We did a 215k ride last Friday and 125k one night before that. I've done about 400k this year but we lost a lot of snow and trails closed. We have the lodge booked for the 26th-29th though in Sudbury. Did you look into riding over for a night?
