Hey guys got bored again and decided to test the durability of my yamaha a little more. Finally threw some taller bars on the sled which helped me absorb the landings a lot better...after giving myself a nice black eye from hitting the handguard mounts :o|

One quick question: I removed my handwarmers and its flashing code 81, is there any harm to be done by not running the warmers? stator wise or anything? Also I have some rsi warmers comming and could use some strait answers on how to hook them up properly (resistor wise).

Anyways heres a few pics

Man you really get some air time with that Nytro. Very Nice!

As far as the code, I highly doubt any problems will occur from having it on due to the handwarmers being disconnected but I wonder how it handles multiple codes...
For instance, if you get some other code such as a faulty TPS then would it flash both codes in order or only the handwarmer one until you clear that first...?

it will flash multiple codes, also having it flash 81 does nothing to the machine, all is good.

I looked it up; code 81 means maximum altitude as been exceeded and your health insurance has been canceled.

Hahaha, i sure hope that isn't the case I may need some treatment to fix my knee! I think I may have bumped it #$%&*

sled seems fine, funny thing is riding without hand warmers isnt even an issue because my stockers don't work at all anyways.

Here's another pic of my buddy, hes got some skills! Jumping is one thing but pullin tricks makes it really hairy.

Its nice to know my sled can handle jumps like that. Now I just have to get the ballz to do it. Thats alright, I'll stick to my 4' road crossings.

How do you like jumping it now? I know you didn't like it before did you adjust to it?

I really don't like jumping it but for now im making due with what I have. I believe its the combination of the engine breaking and heavy front end making it want to nose dive when u let go of the bars, tough to have the confidence for better tricks since i still forget from time to time. It lands very hard also but adding higher bars helps me absorb it better. Unfortunatly I cliped the safety deck and smashed my knee into the side panel, even with knee brace/knee pads I racked it up pretty bad. Hopefully it isnt a torn acl.

Again it is what it is...a trail sled. So naturally its not comparable to a race chassis sled. I just hit small gaps on it now once i pick up a race sled will be back to hittin normal jumps. Atleast i get props for jumping a 600 pound sled when everyone else is on 450 pound sleds haha.

u prolly have pre partellar bursitis in ur knee.... i dumped my quad on labor day, and smashed my knee directly into a rock, after a week my knee looked like a stuffed a waterballoon into it. I had it drained 3 times in 3 weeks for a total of 510 CC's of fluid. its now january and it still isnt healed right, but the doctors say there is nothing to do. Good luck !!!

Trun the Hand warmers/coolers to "off". Then shut down the sled, restart the sled, the code should be gone. If you bump or turn up the hand warmers the code will come back. I haven't personally tried it but many on here are saying it will work.

Yeah I was worried it may be an acl tear but thats sounds more likely. I tore 90% of my acl in the same knee 5 years ago and its never been the same. I was in a bad car accident in august 2008 and smashed my knee thru the console/dash so i'm hoping this is just a reinjury of my knee cap.

I can move my knee a bit allready so im pretty optomistic, and it can hold weight. Its very painful to bend though, luckily i have a ton of painkillers from my car accident left haha.

Thanks to everyone else for the code info, ill post about how well my rsi warmers work when they show up.

Oh and yeah the nytro can handle small ramps as long as u dial the landing everytime. Case or o.j and expect to be buying parts.
