Went for a ride on saturday and we were in some fluffy snow. We went about 100 miles or so. The sled works great. I went out last night tot remove the right side panel to check the chain case oil and it was frozen on. The ice around the oil resevoir was about 4 inches thick in some places. I had the car warmer on it for about 2 hours before I could get the panel off.
The fresh snow is coming in that vent that is in front of the oil resevoir. Has anybody made a screen for that vent yet or had this trouble yet?

I heard some people putting on pre-filters that slip over the screen and that keeps the snow out!! I saw the filters on the doo-doo site. (unfortunately) LOL!! ;)!

Thanks thats what I was thinking of doing, I will have to see how I am going to fasten it on though. The vent is right at the edge of the panel. I may just duct tape it off for now. Its cold enough here that its not going to over heat anyway.

08 have you had this problem its pretty cold with lots of snow where you are too.

siliconing it in works well!

Don't waist your time with the cheap screen material you can get at home depot or lowes get the good stuff prefilter material!

Do you suggest SLP products?

Here are some pics of the ice. The pictures dont do it justice, there was 3 pounds of ice in there, it was half way up the oil resevoir! I think I am going to just block the vent off. My Attak never had one there and it never had a problem.
