i was pretty unhappy when i put my sled in a ditch and got some minor damage.mostly around the windshield and speedo area.my fault no big deal.when i got home i pulled up on the kill switch and the red button came off in my hand,(cracked in the off trail excursion).you cant order a kill switch from yamaha, you cant order the red plunger from yamaha.you have to order an throttle block assembly.$120-$150 i called 2 different dealers and they both said the same thing.all i need is a $2.00 piece of plastic.what a rip-off!

Thats yammi for ya,they control everything, now i had my front shocks off to change out straight rate springs, after i tore threds out, from a pitted up set og threds,we had to remove 3/4 inch of garbage threds, until i could thred back onto shock w/spring adjuster, anyway the guy who helped me ownes a shop, and does shock rebuilds, all kinds, except yammi, now he wants to,but was told he cant have the ifp depth it is some kind of national seceret or something, you have 5 choices send out to a yamaha shop of ther choice to get revalved at a much higher price. yup sounds like more ways to rip us off. :x

As I don't have the 04 Yamaha Performance manual in front of me I can't say to fact that the button is avilable seperately, but I am almost positive. Have your dealer take a look...
