I came into a slow corner and turned out I was on some powder on a huge sheet of ice,

sled tries to 180 , I try to catch it, it hooks up and flips.

it was over on the left side for 1 or two minutes (it died after about 30 secs?)

Flipped it over, let it sit about a minute, started it up , no lights or issues so far.

any opinions other than the fact I need studs? wondering about oil leakage etc.

Better left side than right.
Put mine on right side, got it shut down in few seconds. Took about 2 min. to get set up. After few minutes tried start, oil press light came on and it shut down after few seconds, tried again same thing. Tried cranking with kill switch off, tried another start, same thing.
Side panel off, couldn't remember to try removing oil tank vent and plugging. Tried another start and hit throttle but it shut down. Tried another start and hit throttle, this time stayed running. Rode about 10 miles home and everything seems fine.
Since finding what was said about blocking tank vent to over come suction lock. Also carry a hose that I can put on tank vent and blow, maybe would help.

I installed one of Four Stroke Solutions roll over kits. A little pricey, however you couldn't make it up for less and it includes some great features in one shot. Tether for get offs, rollover protection form oil pumping out, and re-prime function via electronic solenoid valve to temporarily plug the oil vent line while you crank it over to establish prime, safety light to let you know all is well and valve is open. check it out here as they explain it better than I do. http://fourstrokesolutionsllc.webs.com/ ... ovkits.htm

As for a review I should finally be able to log some miles this weekend on my XTX. I only did some break in pulls thus far.
