I think your airbox has the stock opening. When I go back to my Cave later I'll pull the top off the stock airbox and take a picture of it.

Here are pics of the inside of a stock airbox on a 2005 Vector ER. Is the opening on your airbox bigger causing your problem I really don't know.

Thanks for the pictures . Yeah mine is a lot bigger then the stock hole but I'll have to get an airbox to check it out. Thanks again
