RS VIPER ECU PROGRAMING WITH YSDT

Is there any way to check the VIN number? Or is the only way to call the dealer? Mine was delivered late August, but I did find a cob-web or too making me think it was stored in inventory for quite a while.

I emailed Pete to see about mine, but I guess we'll have to wait for the bulletin to populate.

Mine is still quite fresh, but this mornings cold start with extended cranking time did not exactly inspire confidence.

Reflashed 2 vipers so far , 2014 and early feb. 2015 . Tried to just put in VIN but system will not identify sled . Only way to check or flash is to have sled hooked to YSDT. 5 MINUTES done !!!!!!

Just got a call from my dealer. He said the stuff just came in and they will be re-flashing my sled today or tomorrow.

Where does this cable hook up? Are they opening side panel or going through the big multi plug? My trailer is minimal roof height so depending where it connects I may have to run it out.

Still waiting on the Doo to come in so might be able to kill 2 birds w/one stone.

one cable plugs in under your seat and the second one plugs into the largest plug below the reverse servo

yeah. once hooked to the tool, it auto detects the vin.... no need to enter it.

Got home from the reflash and noticed they left the programming plug on my sled. The one that plugs in under the seat.
Big orange tag on it that said MUST REMOVE. A reminder for them I guess. Haha
So I waited and two hours later my phone was ringing. They wanted it back. LOL
