20212 Yamaha Nytro XTX
I have a 2012 Nytro and I need to replace the right side grip heater. I was looking on the RSI website but it does not specifically list a model for a 2012. Has anyone used RSI and know what model to use? Thanks.

RSI GH-2 should be the correct one I believe. They don't have a plug and play one that will fit the nytro. You have to solder them in. There's 3 wires in the RSI two of them go together to create less resistance and a greater heat output. I put them on my nytro last winter and they worked good. They get a lot hotter then the yamaha ones. I had one burn out late last spring. I'm not exactly sure why but this fall when I took it for its first ride I noticed the left side wasn't working. Pulled it off and you can see the black spot.

Thank you.

The rsi elements are much warmer than factory. Cheaper too. If you go to this you will need to change them both. If the two are not identical one will not get hot enough.

I have found that you should never leave one stock and one after market in fact you should not mix match them at all they all seem to have different heat output. I have changed out just one on my apex and it was so much hotter than stock it was burning that hand and the other was still cold. change them both out. also yes three wire ones just splice the two hot wires together. also a tip leave the old element on the bars the grips stretch a little from removal and can cause an air gap that allows movement and any movement in the grip will wear the element and cause it to fail. I put new element on right over the old and wrap tight with electrical tape then use grip glue super glue is the same and make sure it is a snug fit. I have had to change out the heat element(s) on that machine 3 times all because I didn't do it this way the first time.
